Got to take this out and test it on Dec. 29. Was unseasonably warm that day, but overcast and rainy. 20241229_112508. 20241229_112717.
Per instructions, set the unit up with 12”-15” inches of space from the muzzle. I fired five rounds of 55gr. and five rounds of 62gr. green tip. Both session saved to my Android device.

Set up time was less than a minute and did not need any sunlight to work properly like my old Shooting Chrony. This by far is the best firearms tech to be released in a long time. Highly recommend this unit if you can afford it. The price being $600, but $600 dollars is also the price of a cheap AR.

Went to Harbor Freight and bought a $50 Apache case to provide storage and protection.

@RouteClearance Please explain the AVG FPS...is that like -17.3 FPS lower (reference #4, last photo) than the average FPS of the 5 shot series? Sorry, just curious... :) That would be a really handy device.

I really have no idea why the unit’s computer does that. I will ask the C1 Pro FB group this question. For me, I am only interested in the ES and SD for ELR shooting. These long range shooter’s have found that an ES of less than 10 and a SD of less than 20 in any ammo is what results in the most consistent ELR accuracy, which I am also finding the same results.
I want to also compare this unit with my old Shooting Chrony to see how much variation between the two. I have seen a few YT videos doing this and the old style chrony’s are off quite a bit compared to the Garmin’s, Lab Radar, and Magneto units available today. Which could clear up and explain why some of my factory ammo and reloads simply did not perform as expected at long ranges. There are also a few vids comparing it to the $25 Amazon Chrony and those results are even worse.

@Bandit99 His average was 3002.3 FPS (using the second grouping), so next to every stat, it shows the offset from the average. Reference #4 like you stated is 2984.9, which is -17.3 below the avg. Ref #2 is above avg showing 3010.2 which is 7.9 more than 3002.3

It's an awesome device if you are really into all the scientific stuff or a pro shooter with obsessive compulsion. Kind of amazing, really. A lot of YouTubers and such require these things to "prove" everything, when old timers like many of us already know our load data. And then there's the hobby side, and I suppose 600 bones is worth it for the giggles to some. I like it, out of my need zone but it's damn cool.

Saw a youtuber using one of these. Where are the screens?

This is a Doppler radar unit, no screens needed.

I simply bought it for the ease of setup and accuracy.
