Texas man changes mind about living in cave after hours-long discussion with Alaska law enforcement ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - A 35-year-old man from Texas changed his mind about living in a cave this winter after a talking with an Eagle Village Public Safety Officer for several hours, Alaska State Troopers said. The officer had been looking for the man along the Taylor Highway and found him inside a SUV Friday in a gravel pit near mile 96. The 35-year-old explained that he had dug a cave by hand and was planning to live there over the winter, troopers said. “After several hours of discussion, the individual was convinced that it was in his own best interest to rethink his plan and find a more suitable location to spend the winter,” AST wrote in their daily dispatch. Village public safety officers returned to the gravel pit Saturday, gave the man 15 gallons of gas and helped fix his SUV so he could drive to Tok. Classic "End of the roader".....
The scary part? People like him vote. Reminds me of the case some years back where an idiot thought it'd be a good idea to live with Brown Bears. I think they spotted his empty rib cage from a helicopter.
