Two possible scenarios here:
1) November 6th after the elections, we know there will be one of two outcomes, ether of which would likely ignite a powder keg and set us off on Revolution, THIS could be how the one side KEEPS POWER, Prevents the "Change of Command" as it were from the party in power to the new party lawfully assuming power!
2) This is used because of terror attacks planned to take us down during or just after the elections, all those millions of Illegals brought in across our border, all sleeper cells programmed to attack us when we are at our most vulnerable!

This should absolutely scare the shit out of everyone, it violates all sorts of constitutional laws, and should we find ourselves living under this, there will be a reckoning

Posted on it a few days ago. No way of knowing what will happen as it is open to being looked at in different ways and of being part of a declared emergency. Would write it off as tinfoil hat, except the actions taken the last few years have taken the mainstream well into tinfoil hat country. Capital and a couple of "right wing" protests so called as well as BLM all indicate we are living in dangerous times. Gives lots of powers to president and administrative part of system.

Well could be used even if not legal, old 9-11 dangers and the new laws to help "control the dangers". Trump is dangerous, the moslums and the many young immigrants are not. Go figure that one out.

I have been out of uniform too long, and no longer know who I can trust, or if they will uphold their oaths. Years ago, I would have called this crazy talk, the folks I knew would never in a million years even consider this kind of thing, and would have told Sec.State to go pound sand. Today, I seriously doubt any of the senior officers would ignore an unlawful order like this, and might actually carry it out if so ordered! THIS is Bad, It would actually pit the regular military against the National Guard, which would make this super bloody, the only thing that we might be able to count on is the Special Forces, the guys at the very tip of the spear who would likely stand against something like this, and would instead join with the Patriots and Nat.Guard to repel such forces and remove those in power!

Wait. Correct me if I am wrong, but if I am right, this Directive makes it even more dangerous. This is not an 'unlawful order. This DoD Directive makes it a legal order to use lethal force against civilians if directed to do so.
If I am correct, and I am pretty certain I am, this takes away any legal conflict military personnel might have. This basically is clearing the fog and/or the reluctance of the Chain of Command to follow such an order making it even more dangerous.

This has disturbed me so much that I did a bit more digging on the two conflicting laws which this Directive is supporting or against. The Posse Comitatus Act and the Insurrection Act. It's rather long but worth your time and I put it in note form from a few different sources:
(NOTE: The Posse Comitatus Act (1878) is weak tea and will not protect us as the Insurrection Act (1807) does overrule it if used. Both badly need review and updating...but they won't be for the obvious reasons so don't hold your breath.)

1. The Posse Comitatus Act consists of just one sentence: “Whoever, except in cases and under circumstances expressly authorized by the Constitution or Act of Congress, willfully uses any part of the Army or the Air Force as a posse comitatus or otherwise to execute the laws shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both.” In practice, this means that members of the military who are subject to the law may not participate in civilian law enforcement unless doing so is expressly authorized by a statute or the Constitution. (NOTE: This covers only the Air Force and Army. The Navy and Marines covered by a different statute but same thing.

2. The Coast Guard has express statutory authority to perform law enforcement and is not bound by the Posse Comitatus Act. The District of Columbia National Guard, unlike all other state and territorial National Guards, is always under presidential control. The Department of Justice has for years asserted that the DC Guard can operate in a non-federal, “militia” status, in which it is not covered by the Posse Comitatus Act.

3. The National Guard are rarely covered by the Posse Comitatus Act because they usually report to their state or territory’s governor. That means they are free to participate in law enforcement if doing so is consistent with state law. However, when Guard personnel are called into federal service, or “federalized,” they become part of the federal armed forces, which means they are bound by the Posse Comitatus Act until they are returned to state control.

4. The main statutory exception to the Posse Comitatus Act is the Insurrection Act. Under this law, in response to a state government’s request, the president may deploy the military to suppress an insurrection in that state. In addition, the Insurrection Act allows the president — with or without the state government’s consent — to use the military to enforce federal law or suppress a rebellion against federal authority in a state, or to protect a group of people’s civil rights when the state government is unable or unwilling to do so.

5. There are no constitutional exceptions to the Posse Comitatus Act.

The National Guard can operate in “Title 32 status which means Guard personnel are paid with federal funds and may perform missions requested by the president, but they remain under state command and control. That means they are not subject to the Posse Comitatus Act, even though they are serving federal interests. A key part of control is the governor’s right to decline a particular federal mission. However, that right is meaningless if the president can simply approach a different governor and ask her to deploy her state’s Guard into the unwilling governor’s state.

To counter the Posse Comitatus Act is the Insurrection Act. The statute implements Congress’s authority under the Constitution to “provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions.”
(NOTE: Non-law enforcement is covered under the Stafford Act)

1. The Insurrection Act suspends the Posse Comitatus Act

2. In theory, the Insurrection Act should be used only in a crisis that is truly beyond the capacity of civilian authorities to manage. However, the Insurrection Act fails to adequately define or limit when it may be used and instead gives the president significant power to decide when and where to deploy U.S. military forces domestically.

3. Sections 251 requires the State's consent and allows the state legislation or in some cases, the governor to request the President's aid to suppress an insurrection in that state.

4. Sections 252 and 253 allow the president to deploy troops without a request from the affected state, even against the state’s wishes. Section 252 permits deployment in order to “enforce the laws” of the United States or to “suppress rebellion” whenever “unlawful obstructions, combinations, or assemblages, or rebellion” make it “impracticable” to enforce federal law in that state by the “ordinary course of judicial proceedings.

5. The second part of Section 253 permits the president to deploy troops to suppress “any insurrection, domestic violence, unlawful combination, or conspiracy” in a state that “opposes or obstructs the execution of the laws of the United States or impedes the course of justice under those laws.”

6. Who decides if meet the criteria for an insurrection deployment? Sadly, it is the President as the Supreme Court decided early on that this question is for the president alone to decide.

7. Is the Insurrection Act the same as declaring martial law? No. The Insurrection Act generally permits the military to assist civilian authorities (whether state or federal), not take their place. Under current law, the president has no authority to declare martial law. Also, the term marital law is not defined in law so by definition it doesn't exist.

"No president has unilaterally invoked the Insurrection Act against a state’s wishes since Lyndon Johnson did so to provide protection for civil rights activists in Alabama marching from Selma to Montgomery in 1965."

I'm certain Trump approached the military with allegations of a stolen election. However, I think they told him "Not this time, sorry". This looks like preparing for "next time" to me.

I also don't know which way the brass will lean. (Juntas look super profitable)

I agree the SOCOM community will swing right, but upheaval in an insurrection may lean the whole military right.

This all hinges on a known ethical and charismatic leader to emerge to bring the middle together. Jordan Peterson? Canadian but speaks well and seems based in religion, logic, and philosophy. Sadly, I can't think of another. Joe Rogan, maybe? Elon Musk, he's mad at the left for fucking up his son and studies counter arguments, IMO.

 

I wasn't expecting a peaceful resolution, to be clear. I expect in 2034 there will be 100 million less Americans and a right wing dictatorship when the pendulum swings back really fucking hard.
