Cue music Aquilo is now in da house! Now Columbus Day will be Aquilo Day - for us anyway. 21.5 inches, 8.25 lbs and the first thing he did after birth was piss all over the med staff, not Mom.... The med staff laughed and said it was a good sign. Mom is doing well after the C section, and will be home in a couple more days. Aquilo translates from the Grecko-Roman as Eagle or North Wind, both appropriate for an Alaska born kiddo. After considering that he pissed all over the doc etc, I think this kid will fit right in..... Posted to share our joy in a frankly joyless time....
I hope so - his dad did two tours in Iraq (Anbar prov) as an outside the wire door kicker. Given his arrival, with the pissing contest, he looks to have a good start....
Absolutely wonderful! My grandkids keep me going even in the bad times! Pass along love from Texas. We are praying for him a wonderful and exciting life, way down here in the biggest Great State.
We (DW and I) prayed nightly/mightily - for months - for a safe delivery and a heathy kiddo.. I shout praise to Heaven and all its hosts for the answered prayers. Thanks, Zimmy..
