Agreed, in our corrupt political system, NO ONE rises to political office - any level - without being a crook, as corrupt as any other no matter the party. Some are just better at concealing their dishonesty. The first best thing We The People could do is BAN ALL political parties, special interest groups and lobby groups. Make each candidate for office stand on his/her own record of voting & performance. And their only funding is what they can drum up personally, no third party fundraising. This would be a start, and maybe eliminate about half the corruption.
