The Great Pager Attack

Imagine the psychological effect.

Now Hezbollah members who are undamaged will be questioning their radio, pager, cell phone, TV, computer and just about any electronic device they may use for communications.

And, it also says that Mossad knows who they are and that they're within reach. This has got to rattle them.

Lots of talk here about PETN being used. That's the main ingredient in the non-el (non- elecrical) det cord they used for initiating blasts in the mines where I used to work. It burns at something like 20,000 feet per second.

 

Brilliant move compromising their use & faith in communications, the Israelis may make moves on destroying their bases and stockpile of rockets.

 

That will have some long-term effects for sure... I guess they didn't see it coming and probably won't see anything coming now.

I'll try to remember to take my pager apart this weekend to see how much room is in there.

You'd need a separate (or smarter) processor, ignitor, and the explosives. I bet you could share the antenna, receiver, and battery.

Otherwise, the explosions wouldn't have been simultaneous.

I have heard (can't find a link) that Hezbollah was convinced Israel was tracking them through their electronics. So they changed out their electronics to the current stock. Brilliant move on Israel's part to get the terrorists to change electronics to some that have been tampered with.

 

ICOM commercial HT radios have enough space to pack quite the 'punch'.
