    @Zimmy I'm glad you're feeling better. Now that school has started things are probably going around.
    I hope you'll enjoy the baptism and weekend in San Antonio. This summer taught me the value of resting and hitting the reset button. It really can make a difference.

    Yesterday was leg day and this morning I did an upper body and core workout. It really feels good to lift weights again after taking so much time off. I got a massage and now there's chicken soup on the stove top.
    This week I did a decent job of hitting my nutrition macros.

    This morning I caught myself searching for things to worry about...
    I'm glad I caught it and now I'm going to try to do less of that. I think it's time for me to really take a yoga or meditation practice seriously again because it's been awhile.

    I'm currently reading:
    • "The House in the Pines" by Ana Reyes. It's listed as a mystery, thriller, suspense novel and it's a "Reese's book club" selection. The last few books on her book club list haven't been that great to me so we shall see how this one is.
    I didn't read as much as I usually do this summer, but fall is my favorite season and a nice time to get cozy with the books. What are you currently reading or listening to?

    Tonight I’m going to see my buddy fight MMA in Poulsbo, Wa. I’m too far gone to do this myself but, I’d sure like to. Lol.

    This morning I did an online dance class and some drills. I just finished a 30 minute total body workout. Now I'm going to head outside to mulch more palm trees. I think my favorite fall staple so far is boneless chicken thigh soup with purple cabbage. What are some of your favorite fall staples?

    I haven't been reading much either. A series of fantasy audio books not worth mentioning are populating my commute.

    It's still really hot here so my daily mile felt like it took a long time. Today is a rest day so I'm taking the time to do laundry, make soup, and clean. I should reorganize the kitchen cabinets and my closet.

    I feel yesterday's leg workout! We got bikes last night and went on a nice 6 mile ride this morning. This is the first time that I have a bike that isn't too tall for me and it's nice.
    Today is rest day and I'm enjoying the cooler weather!

    I'm currently reading:
    • "Hill of Secrets" by Galina Vromen it is a historical fiction World War II novel and it's enthralling. Here's the summary.     Today I did an upper body and core workout. Also went on another 6 mile bike ride and I got back before it rained harder than it has rained all year.

    We went for two bike rides for a total of 12 miles today! I'm tired and will probably have to rest tomorrow. My hands have been going numb all summer because I was working so hard in the yard with mulching, weeding, and shoveling. Why do I always do this to myself? We could easily hire people to do this work, but I'd rather save the money and do it myself, but I pay the price with numb hands. I'm going to try to do better.
    I'm getting ready to do a 40 minute full body workout tonight. I'm also going over the instructions and making sure that I understand the exercises that I'm going to do for the new program that starts on Monday. Hopefully, I haven't bit off more than I can chew. Lol.
    Speaking of food, I'm doing a lot better with my nutrition these days. Now I want to do a better job of getting quality sleep. It's still customary for me to stay awake reading until my tablet slaps me in the face.

    You are so inspiring.

    I went to an RV Show in Dallas so I could practice being lazy in beautiful places.

    My big fitness accomplishment was not getting the coke, burger, and fries meal deal.

    The RV show sounds like it was a lot of fun. We almost got a bus to convert into a tiny home, but the one that we looked at was in really rough shape and more of a project than I am prepared to tackle right now.
    Great job on not getting that yummy meal deal! My mouth was watering as I read it. Every time that you make choices like this, you're getting closer to your goals!

    October 12th is my next tournament. I start a log tonight, recording my runs, lifting and etc. I’ll also concentrate on things that I needed to improve on last go round. I plan on mauling the guys from the whistle, my cardio is usually better and nothing takes one’s soul like fatigue.

    October is already right around the corner! I also started logging my food and exercise this week. I'm a stats girl so I absolutely love seeing the stats and progress. I really admire your dedication to training and getting better and better.
