Harris/Walz win!

I kind of hope that Harris/Walz win the election this November. This way when the chickens come home to roost, they are going to have a hard time blaming the republicans for the mess come 2028.

Will it suck under the Ds for another 4 years .. shit yes.
But remember, you are a prepper. You've made it 3.5 years already, what's another 4.
Other folk not so prepared are going to lament they voted for Harris and the entire democratic party. None of the promises she made were fulfilled. They can't afford food, gas, housing. They will never get ahead; They will never believe a politician again.

The economy is going to suck after the election, why not just let the Ds own the mess. If Trump wins .. it's still going to suck.

The fed is still going to drop interest rates, inflation is still going to come back, most folks won't be able to buy a house or a new car. Stock market is going to tank, people will sell their stock at a loss, and then the market is going to tear upwards as asset prices get inflated yet again. Unfortunately they will have locked in the loss in their 401ks and investment plans too afraid to get back in.

Yeah, let the Ds own it. Then in 2028, after the country throws the Ds to the curb, maybe we can actually elect representatives that will get the hell out of our way and let us fix the country.

If the Rs win .. well, IMO it will only be marginally better as they will spend 4 years putting out fires and have not fixed the underlying problem and the back and forth will continue. And then the 2028 election is going to look a lot like this election.

Let the chickens come home to roost .. you are prepared.

 

I have no doubt in my itty-bitty mind that should the Republicans win, House, Senate and President, that we will not come close to getting what we really want/need. Yes, Trump will try but it is Congress that truly makes permanent change. I remember clearly all those GOP members that fought against Trump, tossing up log jams, slow rolling, doing everything possible to stop him from doing what the people who voted for him wanted him to do, what needs to be done. Oh, they will sing a good song, give a good dance but let's see what actually gets done, what serious issues get resolved like complete Immigration reform, Tax reform, Election security, National Debt, Health Care, downsizing the government, etc... all the important topics that, like a can, have been and continue to be kicked down the road. I have little faith in the Republican party to actually use the power even if they are given it because they never do.

The reason is obvious, most of those GOP SOBs are still there, still hold power, lots of it and they are not going to do anything that threatens that power. Hell, even Mitch Mcconnell is still there, still protecting China's back and interests, but finally stepping down in November probably because he sees the handwriting on the wall that the people are on to him, and he wouldn't win another election, but it doesn't matter as he was instrumental for China.

Where I disagree with @VisuTrac is that I believe if the Democrats win or steal this election that America will survive. It won't. By the end of another 4-years we will see an utterly complete economic collapse, total collapse and irreversible change in our culture and society. I do not believe, even preppers, can weather those 4-years and the changes accompanying them. It will kill us financially, culturally, and possibly physically. Hell, I would not be surprised if she gives the 12 million illegals amnesty the first year of office and puts the burden of their transition on the backs of the taxpayer and that is simply one of the milder changes she will introduce. No, the nation will not recover and neither will its people.

So, I neither like nor trust the Republican party but fear catastrophic national failure by the Democrats. To be frank, the Republicans are simply the lesser of two evils but I sure as hell do not see them setting the country back on the tracks nor doing anything that would weaken their power. Granted, they will improve things a bit, but even if given both Houses, I truly doubt they will make major or permanent change for the obvious reasons; the main one being to keep their donors happy.

America is failing, basically falling, I get that but all I am after is some commonsense leadership that should prolong the fall. We get that from Trump because he is not political but definitely not from the Republican party and we never will. Could we actually really fix the country? No, I believe we cannot. Things have simply gone too far. You would have to tear it down and start anew which is nothing but a nice dream which political and international power would never allow. All you can do is make it a bit better for a while longer.

EDIT: BTW I do believe Harris/Walz will win, by hook or crook, they will win. They have nothing to lose and will do whatever it takes - and they will. So, the real question is what we will do in the aftermath...Personally, I am trying to come to that answer now and only see three options...and none of them are good.

 

While I agree with Both points of view above, I disagree with the final outcome, we won't really know for sure, until it actually happens or not, but I suspect DJT will be a vastly different person when he wins in November then he was in 2016! I also see him finally understanding how he got screwed by his cabinet and the GOP in Congress, and will not make those same mistakes again. I expect to see him pulling the Obummer trick of using his Pen and Phone and writing executive orders like we have never seen before, going outside congress ( Within his executive authority) and actually getting shit done! Can he fix it all, no chance in hell, but what he can do is set the course for needed changes, and If he keeps Vivec around and listens to him, Vivec actually has a good road map for getting shit done, and the ways to do it lawfully, so that congress cannot block him, or run to SCOTUS everytime he does something they don't like! I also see Trump teamed up with Elon to expose all the corruption, lies, and crimes of BOTH parties and there will be a Bloodletting come mid terms, so we win there as well!

All we gotta do is hope Trump actually wins fair and square, that Kamal Toe doesn't cheat to win like that Old FUCK Joe the Pedo!

Vivek: sec of state (he is high energy and rational thinker. We also will need india on our side in ww3 so we don’t get spanked)
Rand Paul: sec of treasury (end the fed!)
Tulsi: sec def (she’s former enlisted now reserve officer MP that has deployed and the deep state has fucked her)
RFKjr attorney general (i don’t like many of his views BUT he has an axe to grind with the deep state as big as Trump’s so I want to see actual prosecutions happen! I want it revealed to all who actually killed jfk and rfk sr)
General Flynn sec of homeland security (i want to see him clean house)
Elon Musk sec of transportation
Ben Carson sec HHS

 

I believe most people forget how huge a role propaganda can play in society. The key is people 'want' to believe. Look at Nazi Germany and their nonsense about the Jews, how the heads were misshaped, length of nose, blood was tainted, etc. and even professionals bought into their BS. Why because the Jewish community controlled most of the German banking system, most of German industry including the film industry, basically composed a majority of the wealthy in the war-torn Weimar government after WW1 and people wanted to believe their fate was caused by others and not themselves. Aryan archology was another outright lie backed up by German experts in the field and the people swallow it hook, line and sinker because they wanted to believe.

Or, how about Putin's invasion of the Ukraine? Hell, I had to sit a friend down and show him the stats to convince him the Ukraine wasn't filled with nazis (actually the USA had much more) and it was nothing but Russian lies - yet - he wanted to believe them because it supported his purpose that he didn't want America involved.

However, the best, the brightest, and definitely the best funded propaganda machine ever created is the American major media. They can even convince parents to allow untested vaccines to be injected into their children's arms for a virus that doesn't even threaten them. So, they sure as hell can convince Leftist Democrats that Harris can fix everything once she gets into office...even though she has been in office for the last 3.5 years. Yes, we Americans have taken mass media propaganda to new and unimaginable heights with unbelievable success based on that simple fact that people want to believe.

Anyone notice that Gov. Gavin Newsom of Kalifornia has started moving toward the Right, or at least the Center, on many issues. He signed a slew of bills into law that will hopefully reign in retail theft, he also signed bills that restricts Kalifornia's hemp industry and ordered the closing down of homeless encampments in Kalifornia. He is also trying to get a handle on Kalifornis's budget deficit. I'm thinking that he's thinking that Karmala is gonna lose or be worse than Biden and be unelectable in 2028. If he can position himself as the front runner, then preside over the 2028 Olympics in LA, be nominated at the DNC, and then the election should be a piece of cake.

Ok, I seem to be getting bombarded with political ads these days (watched a couple Tiger games this weekend, first time in years).
I don’t understand why the Rs don’t just put out an ad with Harris talking about space or laughing/giggling.
