I hope you're right as heard there are 3 debates scheduled...seems like a lot to me and I would think given the record of Harris and Walz they wouldn't want to debate.

So, one weekend a month (16hrs) + 2 weeks in the summer (80 hours)

So, in one year, 272 hours in uniform.

After 35 years (excluding deployments) was. - 9, 520 hours, total.

An active-duty person does, minimum, 2,015 hrs/yr. Or he pulled 0.017% of an active duty type most years.

Did he have to move to a new base (or 5) at the whim of Uncle Sugar? Nope. Spend a year or two or three -- remote away from family?

Nat Guard is not the same as full time active for very many of the members. You have your opinions, I get mine.

I think Waltz was picked as a running mate was to appeal to the midwestern swing states so they could flip them from the L to W column during election night. Good plan. Mark Kelly would have been a stronger choice for the Ds but it's all about the maths.
This election i fear isn't going to be a cakewalk for Trump as it would have been with Biden.
November is going to be very very interesting.
