Europe,Australia and America are all doing things to improve safety and environment on it self great.On the other side there is ever growing import from countries who ignore this all and so are cheaper. Same reason why medicines and compounds are made in china and india under conditions that are poor and a quality control that is (censored) to say the least. So governments should add taxes as high as the measures here cost.the ,as the do not do that make you wonder how high the bribe is/was,or the are plain stupid or xxxx.
Having medicines made overseas without proper control and safety standards is ridiculous what happens if we go to war with China --massive medicine shortage in the US and WE the People will suffer and die
As was proven during Covid... I couldn't agree with you more! China basically can and did seize control and distribution of medical supplies not only medications. There are certain items that MUST be made in the USA, not only to ensure their quality but to ensure their access. Yes, the list is long however the benefits are justifiable and bottom-line they are necessary. Cost is not always the deciding factor.
I don't worry about the folks dying without insulin or heart medication affecting me so much as the tens of millions of people or some form of crazy pills having to go crazy. Theoretically, a declared war with a superpower should lead to sealing the border not in theory but reality. Then the junkies are gonna go crazy without affordable coke and opiods.
