Here I go again but not on my own :)

Never thought I would say this but I am moving Guess some of you called that one right LOL. I am also getting married again and nope no dates set for either at this time. The moving part is going to be a logistical nightmare. Since I am not selling the farm here, I sold off all of the live stock and going to sell both food trailer. I finally decided what I am going to do for my cash supplemental retirement work. I bought all new Kubota Hay Equipment, a 30' 8'W Deck Over bumper pull tilt trailer, got Red totally mechanically reburbed with a heavy duty 7 speed manual tranny. LOL he looks like a banged up 2001 farm truck but has a rebuilt engine and every part even a little bit worn replaced with new. Nothing but hay will be produced on the farm here going forward.

Maybe after she retires we will move here and build a new house on the lake. Or maybe just keep this the hay farm. And out get away from there vacation spot. The nightmare is picking and choosing what will stay here and what will move there.

Her place is as nice maybe more than my place And I got no problem porch sitting at her place.


At least no problem porch sitting until her dog chance steals my chair.


Winning her pack over took some time.


But they finally decided they liked me.


Slowly blending our two packs together 2 at a time. Kind of surprised me that Poo is being accepted as a alpha.


The only Dog Problem left is My Alpha Poo and Her Alpha Una. They have gotten into it twice and Poo was the winner once and Una was the winner once. Had to break it up though as both were going to be fights to the death. Una is a little bigger and stronger than Poo but Poo has A LOT more fighting experience...... She grew up fighting coyotes and the dumped dogs here.

There is also a problem between Una and Poo with me. That started when Una decided she was my best friend and Guardian and Poo just ain't gonna have that.


Poo after beating the hell out of all three of her male dogs and putting the death lock on Una's throat. And really wanting go back at Una. Round two Una got Poo in a corner and the more strength and size gave Una the edge and a win when she got her deathlock on Poo's throat. They are really very evenly matched. Just glad both of them listen to both myself and Dana and Stop fighting when commanded to. One has to be dominate over the other sooner or later. A pack of 9 dogs total can't have two top dogs.


I can't remember if I mentioned buying the new car. I ended up getting the 2025 Toyota Camry SE AWD hybrid. It is rated 46/46 mpg City and Hwy. I have been averaging 54MPG overall. After all of the add on bells and whistles and extending the warranties I wrote a check for $45,900 for it. I got it just for making the 460 mile round trip once per week from here to there and back. With the first 2000 miles on it now I can say I believe I made a very good choice of car with it. Very comfortable and roomy even for a big guy.




It has gotten to where I am spending 4-5 days of the week down there and 2-3 days here at home. I came back home Monday because we have a 10 day forecast of hot, breeze and no rain to finally make the first cut of 2024 hay. Using Oliver and the Old John Junk Mower Conditioner. Its all down now and raked into wind rows to finish drying out today. Going to start baling it up tomorrow around 1pm after the dew has all burned off.




So while at home waiting for the hay to dry...... I headed to the woods for some Smurf Hunting and obviously had a lot of success!






Life is good again and getting better by the day

 

Oh Yeah the move will be to TN South of Jackson in the Savahna/Saltilo/Henderson area.

 

That makes you my neighbor to the northwest, as I'm in NW Alabama. I get up to Savannah area whenever I visit the Shiloh Battlefield or Civil War re-enactments. Don't you have some land near New Johnsonville?
PS Is that Smurf blood?! What's the bag limit on Smurfs? How do you tell the bucks from the does? Finally, are they good eating?

 

It sounds like everything is headed in the direction that you both want to take it. More power to you and Dana. Keep us posted.

 

Not far from N AL or MS at all. I sold what land I had left in TN about 2 Months back. I have been liquidating all of my out there stuff and back dooring pretty much everything in to my Roth IRA and filling the safes up with cash and physical Platinum, Gold and Silver. Call me paranoid but I don't like the signs of where the economy is heading even a little bit. I want things I can cash out fast if things start looking REALLY bad or already have it in hand. A lot of who the hell knows what is coming in the USA right now

Smurfs are only good eating when caught in the wild, squished in hand and eaten right after the squishing That was actually a pond dye accident LOL.

 

What scares me is that there is a woman out there that is about 95% like me in soooooo many ways! Been nothing but happier by the day since we met

 

It would seem that Smurfs are as indelible as they are inedible...suitable only for trophy mounting in my opinion.

You gotta be careful with that pond dye! I got some on my hand (nothing compared to you) and I thought it was never gonna come off! It does keep the pond from turning that sh*tty brown/green in the summer.
