Maybe, but the National Rifle Association was created after the Civil War by two Yankee Generals for a reason, and that was to teach Billy Yank to shoot as good as Johnny Reb! After the War they spent about a decade crunching the numbers and discovered that the Union forces had suffered far more combat related casualties than had the Confederates. Also, the Yankees didn't improve as the War went on, marksmanship sucked at the beginning, and it still sucked at the end! Southerners were never out manned, but we were seriously outnumbered!
