@Meat It looks like I'm currently doing the dips on Monday and the overhead tricep extensions on Thursdays. I'm glad that you're addressing triceps. If I had to choose a muscle group that's weak I think this is the one. I'll definitely keep these exercises in my next rotation. You're kids are funny. Lol.

@Zimmy Congratulations on this amazing progress! I look forward to seeing your updates and they always give me an extra spark of inspiration! I want to start meditating more. It's such a wonderful practice that takes practice. It's hard for me to sit still and this is probably why I should start. Right now I do legs up the wall before bed and try to do some deep breathing and a full body scan, but I'd like to dedicate more time to it. I added "The Secret History of the World" to my to read list. I like those books that challenge belief systems and get us to think differently. Thank you for sharing!

Today is my first leg day of the week (Squat and lunge day.) I think the most challenging exercise that I do on this day is the Bulgarian Split Squat. I'm still trying to understand proper form and I found this video which is really helpful. I like the way that he gets us set up from the beginning.

I'm going to finish this tea, throw on some sunscreen and get this workout done!

Today is rest day and I decided to spruce up my "History of the Hula Hoop" article:
The History of the Hula Hoop - Prepper Facts
I made it through my leg day workout yesterday and I was praying by the 5th set. I really noticed a difference in my Bulgarian Split Squats. The cues from that youtube video were really helpful and I didn't even need any weight to feel the burn.

I’ve been running every day leading up to my tournament on April 6th. The gas tank is everything, 5 minutes seem short but nah.

@Meat Great job with the daily running! I admire your consistency. It will definitely pay off. I think 5 minutes must feel like an eternity on the mats because 1 minute of sparring upright feels like forever :ROFLMAO: (for me.)

    clear.

I gave myself the rest of the week off from structured workouts since my bf's dad arrived for a visit on Wednesday (leaves tomorrow). I'm still getting over 10,000 steps a day so I think that's good. He's been the easiest most low maintenance guest through the years, but I still didn't want to add any additional pressure to myself. Also, a break was probably due for my mind and body since I've been pushing hard all month.
Yesterday I had my annual well check up with the doctor and I'm 30 lbs lighter than I was last year. I had her order my full blood panel again so I can compare this year to last year's levels. My blood pressure was a little high, but that always happens to me every time I go to any kind of clinic. She said to keep up with the good nutrition and healthy habits. I'll keep going!
    Thanks for keeping me accountable!

Oops, skipped yesterday. I had my grandson over so…I’ll be back at it tonight along with class at 5 AM tomorrow. Less than two weeks now, I still get nervous. Boo.

@Meat it's good to take days off especially if it's to spend time with family. I did that for several days this week and "survived" the visit!
I think it's okay to be a little nervous. Hopefully it will give you the adrenaline you need.

The boy is signed up for the tournament now. Sweet! He’s doing no-gi which I happen to hate. Lol.

@Meat sweet! Is that the April tournament coming up? I bet you'll both do great. Is the no GI thing a fashion statement? Lol

Aloha! I'm still here. Took two days of rest after this week's squat day on Tuesday. Today will be upper body / vertical push. Wish me luck... This may take awhile.

No-gi is a different form of Jiu Jitsu. I prefer the gi myself. Traditional type.

I might actually rest one more day because my body still needs to recover. I got my lab results and I'm no longer in the pre diabetic range! I'm in the normal range!!!

The boy and I both go this Saturday. He’s no-gi @ 3:30 PM and I go @ 11:00 AM, gi. I hope I can smash and I’m super excited to see him tussle. His last match grappling was Feb of 2017 at the state meet.

    Zimmy Wait, I'm not ready!

33 pounds down now and working the plan to get through a plateau.

I'm reading through the Book of Isaiah again to gain a better understanding of what it meant then, later, and now.

Next will be Meditations by Marcus Aurelius
