A WIFE Sends a Message to Her HUSBAND

WIFE: “Honey, please don't forget to buy bread when you're coming home from work and lest I forget... Your girlfriend Elizabeth is also here and says hello to you.”



HUSBAND: Who is Elizabeth?



WIFE : Nobody, I just wanted you to respond, so I can have confirmation that you saw my message.



HUSBAND: But I’m with Elizabeth right now, I thought you saw us!



WIFE: What! Where are you?



Husband: Near the neighborhood bakery.



WIFE: Wait, I’m coming right now!



After 5 minutes, his wife sends a message: WIFE :I’m at the bakery, where are you?



HUSBAND: I’m at work. Now that you’re at the bakery, please buy the bread and go home!

 

The senior center

It was entertainment night at the Senior Center .

Claude the hypnotist exclaimed: “I’m here to put you into a trance; I intend to hypnotize each and every member of the audience.”

The excitement was almost electric as Claude withdrew a beautiful antique pocket watch from his coat. “I want you each to keep your eye on this antique watch. It’s a very special watch. It’s been in my family for six generations”

He began to swing the watch gently back and forth while quietly chanting, “Watch the watch, watch the watch, watch the watch. .”

The crowd became mesmerized as the watch swayed back and forth, light gleaming off its polished surface. Hundreds of pairs eyes followed the swaying watch, until, suddenly, it slipped from the hypnotist’s fingers and fell to the floor, breaking into a hundred pieces.

“****!” said the Hypnotist.

It took three days to clean up the Senior Center .

Claude was never invited back to entertain.

Nah, Chellovek is the Anti-echo chamber. Very few can accept that there is a different point of view. I think he's trying to remind us to think outside of the box, outside of our paradigm, beyond our limited minds.
Yes, he is a super pain in the ass.
He's just trying to keep us from becoming a typical German during the time of the nazis.
Yep, we unfortunately need him. I hate his posts at times too .. but I still appreciate him but not necessarily the message because alas .. I sometimes forget that my perception of the situation is not the entire scope of the reality.

But yes, he is a pain in the ass but I'll still read his posts as long as it's not a direct attack on others.
There are a lot of us that cross the personal attack and one upmanship from time to time.
Myself included. I aim to be better. We could all be better. But that's for another thread.

That's a pretty fair assessment of ole Chello ,,I to read his post , just to see what some folks on the other side of the political spectrum think . If you read the non-political posts ,, he blends in fairly well ,, sometimes,, when he makes his political posts ,, I think he's just needing a little extra attention those days . ,, just kidding ya Chello.
He's actually a pretty good test for me. , I read some of his political views ,, my blood pressure will rise at the obvious falsity's,, and accusations ,, and I'll have to make myself calm down , and move on .

 

Chello is like that annoying child, he doesn't live in the USA so freedom of speech IMO doesn't apply to him. If he wishes to comment and criticisiz the Australian political system fine. His one sided commentary on our politics pisses me off

 

Even the Catholic church realizes that when you make a saint you need some one to represent the devil to keep the unicorns in check. Chell in his way is our unicorn checker and has a very difficult role. He does it quite well and even adds into our more comfortable group as an exert on military history and bush craft. Not a moderator, but sometimes in life it is necessary to be irritated and upset to motivate us. Remember the sheep are very comfortable in their pasture guarded by the wolves. In my mind, he’s a professional troll. I used to enjoy is POV, but it has become clearer and clearer over the years that he only seeks to raise blood pressure. I acknowledge a contrarian point of view is healthy and a needed part of discussion, but there’s a point where that just becomes trolling.
I may miss some useful stuff, but it’s not worth the baggage.
