Same here, and on top of that, I have a year round stream with Hydro Thermal a mile and a half upstream from me, there is No way they are going to come after me for this, and if they do, there's gonna be some chootin! Besides all that, I can also collect and store rain/snow in my underground vault, and nobody will ever know!
What happens when they show up and seal your well or make it impossible to sell your place as it has no "legal water supply" as they do if you don't have a septic system here? The limits now here are many times the ability to even detect 20 years ago. Big problem 25 miles from here as is the gas additives we were forced to use that now are found in most shallow wells and in ever increasing number of deep wells. Been outlawed for years but are just spreading out. Even if you can't be forced to quit using "untreated" ground water, if banks won't loan money on place or town give permit for new construction. it is in fact a defacto law even if not on books.
