I read an article recently about the population declines in Japan and South Korea, both are traditional societies that are not very welcoming to immigrants or change. One area of change that both countries seem to embrace is AI/robots. In the future both countries may HAVE to make use of hundreds of thousands, maybe even millions, of AI enhanced robots in order to maintain industry, social services, health care, etc.. While we in this country are talking about restricting AI, many countries are going to adopt it out of necessity.
