New bowie

The Laredo Bowie was an unlicensed copy of one of Bagwells knives. He ended up taking them to court and got a settlement , in the agreement they continued making them.
I miss the old fart.

 

I did not know that the Laredo was a Bagwell design, never heard that before now. If true, it explains the popularity of the Laredo! A fine design, in my view, either way.
I'd like to see some proof of that, a search of the internet turns up NOTHING about that. Just sayin...

I looked up the Laredo. Definitely a Bagwell style.

How many Sharp's did that settlement buy, ya think?

 

Several. I know the amount but will not say.
Bag was the first real knifemaker that I met. He helped me considerable.
We used to do a lot of hunting together.

 

. It wouldn't be most likely. They settled out of court. Bag called me about his side. Lynn called me about his side. Lol.
Good basic design. Lynn took the pattern without asking bag about it. That's what stirred up a stink.
