To the extent that LBJ was persuaded by military and civilian policy hawke advocates of ultimately untenable war making policies, I would agree...but it is a lethal malady of both GOP and Democratic Party administrations... G Dubya's operations in Iraq, on the false premise of WMDs was no less moronic than LBJ's continuation of a military operations initiated by previous administrations ( Eisenhower and Kennedy).
