It was not just For reporting this --many other news organizations reported this as well as the NFL, I gave Fox news years ago
They were reporting it 2 1/2 years ago: 'Black national anthem' makes its debut at the NFL And 3 1/2 years ago: https://www.washingtonpost.com/history/2020/09/10/nfl-lift-every-voice-black-national-anthem/ And it's being reported everywhere now.
Growing up My parents were not into sports, and when I was in high school they only came to one foot ball game and one wrestling match. I had trophies from both sports, but it didn't mean much to them. To be honest I still am not that much into sports. I also played golf and bowling and fencing and base ball, and did well, my son did exceptional, but we never took it seriously.
Can't say as I've watched any footie ball or drank beer this year, Socialism has failed to keep my mind on other BS.
Down South most people, including myself, are into college football. The pros just never developed much of a following because we didn't have any teams in the South to begin with, and even today there are only 5 or 6. I'm an Alabama football fan myself and that enough. The Olympics will be in Paris this summer and I will watch that.
Apparently, KC and SF will be playing a football game next Sunday. Frankly, I could care less. I might watch, unless something better comes along.
Well ,,, that just sealed the deal on me watching that Shitshow,,,, I've got plenty of other things that would be a better use of my time .
Gotta ❤️ it when antediluvian whiners are crying that a private business entity is not paying attention to anti GLBTQI voices and sentiments anymore. I guess free enterprise, and 1st Amendment rights don't seem as important to those whose cultural wars fragility bubble wrap is being popped.
I just got back from the supermarket, and I got some food for our Super Bowl Party. One sister is bringing chili, and the other is bringing potato soup. I'm supplying the chips and dips, pizza, wings, etc. Good folks and good food! The Super Bowl Ads and the Puppy Bowl are usually better than the game, especially since we don't care who plays or wins!
It wasn't as bad as I had feared! The first half was a snooze, but the second half was better, and the overtime was kinda of exciting! Mostly, we ate and talked, until something exciting happened, and then we went back to talking and eating. My nieces watched the half-time show. We also got to see numerous shots of Taylor Swift. Not a bad evening, mostly due to the good food and drink, and the good folks present!
Yes, but only showed a couple of times in her box seat. It's the only game I watch each year and only for social reasons. Perhaps when Football returns to being entertainment and not destroying any attempt at having a good time by shaming us I may start again. We aren't there yet as evidenced by an all black performance of the "black national anthem". Imagine the reaction to a "white national anthem"or an "asian national anthem". This is nothing more than the attempt to perpetuate "oppressor and oppressed" and further dividing up as a people. We HAVE a National Anthem that covers us ALL as ONE people. The NFL can continue to FOADfor now.
