Seems to me there's a bunch of contradiction going on. One side says "Buy electric vehicles now and save!" The other side says "OMG, we're going to have massive power outages this winter!!" So, what's a person to believe? Oh yeah, I believe both are totally stupid.

These golf carts be it gasoline or total electric, Would tall skinny tires increase the milage?
Granted some of these are heavy as a boatload of snot but some are doable.
Off-roading is a tough cookie since some of these are really heavy.

It's a per axle computation, so 3450/2500 ^ 4 =
1.38^4 = 3.62
Therefore, an electric version of the same truck Does 3.62 times the amount of damage to the roads as the gas version of the truck. I don't think anyone includes this in the cost of switching to electric vehicles. Doing maintenance on an accelerated basis will release a lot of CO2 into the atmosphere!

My tires on my leaf last about 50,000 miles. This set might last closer to 40,000 miles only because I drive it hard.

Good question - IMO the owner if the owner programmed it to do so. If it was a flaw in the vehicle, then the manufacturer unless it was the result of an owner made modification or failure to perform maintenance..

I will personally never allow a car's automatic driving system to be in control of a vehicle I use unless it's an emergency and no one is capable of driving, e.g. I've been an accident and an able to get in the vehicle but unable to drive to the ED.

 

I have been writing software for 30 years.
There are two verticals that I don't want to be any part of:
Medical/Life support
Flight Control
And I consider autonomous driving to be the same as flight control.

All software has bugs. Most bugs are minor, some are major and with respect to the above .. some can be fatal.

 

Tractor trailers cause nearly all the road damage.

Once the insurance pays out, I bet we will be seeing more of these.
