They try and pack the SCOTUS, Allow Illegal immigrants flood our nation and allow them vote, While killing off actual citizens with drugs, Ignore the constitution, and flaunt it in our faces, and now this, and if it gets passed and becomes a thing, we're well and truly FUCKED as a nation! Once again it is all the usual liberals pushing this through to insure the demoRATS stay in power. DC is nothing but a government funded 3rd world city of white liberals and welfare blacks. Typical demoRATS will do anything to violate the Constitution "Washington, DC, isn't a state; it's a district. DC stands for District of Columbia. Its creation comes directly from the US Constitution, which provides that the district, "not exceeding 10 Miles square," would "become the Seat of the Government of the United States." I would hope and pray the Supreme court would shoot this down in a heart beat ----But who knows This just proves these politicians know nothing about our Constitution.
That has been going on forever, just like statehood for Puerto Rico and making New York City the 51st state.
I believe in the early days of this country, they wanted to ensure that no state had the capital in it, giving that state more prestige and perhaps more power. I see no valid reason to make DC a state now or ever.
This should NEVER be allowed to happen. The District of Columbia was set aside, from land belonging to Maryland and Virginia, for a reason: NO STATE SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO CLAIM THE DISTINCTION OF HOUSING THE CAPITAL OF THE NATION. Only an idiot liberal would consider this a good idea!
Virginia should demand its land back! That or Texas should break-up and form several new states with senators and congressmen!
