About GOD DAMN TIME that arrogant prink went away, hopefully he keeps his fookin mouth shut and retires into obscurity forever, leaving the NRA to do it's thing completely without any influence or control from him! Hopefully, the NRA continues to clean house and remove senior leadership and starts listening to it's members more closely and when it does lobby congress, it does so for the greatest effect FOR it's membership, no more of this soft hand compromises against our frickin rights! When they told Orange Man it was Okay to Ban the Bumpstocks, that was all the proof we ever needed to show the NRA was bent, and that Cuck WLP was behind it all!

I quit the NRA years ago because of this douche and his cronies. Hope new management cleans things up for honest members. If so I would consider membership again as they did some good things before the LaPuke age.

Hmm...I notice he didn't state why he was resigning: health, retirement, family...or a corruption trial via a corrupt attorney general. Strange...

I'm a member of the NRA and my only gripe is the money they waste on unnecessary mailings! I pay my annual dues and every month or so I get a letter wanting me to re-new my membership, or telling me I have to send X amount of money in order to keep my guns...it's worse than the televangelists sometimes!

No real difference...2A evangelism hits the same kind of conservative prosperity gospel notes, and rattles the same kind of 2A congregation collection can.

I have been a life member since 1986, and still get mailings to join the NRA.

    Zimmy Wait, I'm not ready!

Same here. 1986 was a good year!

I got so sick of the mailings I did a change of address to an old Rural Route Address style we had in the 70s. That stopped them.

Screw La Pew. Now if they get their shit together I might start giving money again besides donating for their calendar each year. Life member since the late 90's.

Yeah, I like to poke fun of @Ura-Ki obsession with the bumpstock thing also. :) Unfortunately, you got to admit, he's right. The Bumpstock is sort of a silly-a$$ gadget in my mind - I mean - waste of ammo, not a serious tool and doubtful people use them much. Yeah, I know that murderous nutcase in Las Vegas used one but... The point is if they can and will slam the door on something so minor so will slam it on anything even if it is way out of the scope of the NFA which it is.

The balls of this guy to take 17,000,000 FRNs from membership is just unreal. He has presided over the decline of one of the most successful lobbying operations, and he rewrites the rules to give himself a golden parachute like that? Dude deserves to be tarred and feathered.

My issue with the BumpStocks Isn't actually about those stupid things, My ISSUE is how Orange Man banned them with the stroke of a pen! My ISSUE is that through executive order, a misinformed President, who went to the NRA and asked if they had any problems with banning it, they said NO, go ahead! My Issue is that the NRA dropped the ball and didn't tell Orange Man he was wrong, that his actions were against the 2nd, and that he SHOULD be doing other things, NO, and we got screwed! The Bump Stock ban isn't really the issue here, it's that 1) a POTUS went beyond his authority and banned something, and 2) the NRA, the very people who claim the loudest that they stand for our rights, Not only didn't stop him when they had the chance, set him strait, but that they were actually behind his plan, fully supporting his efforts AGAINST our rights!

What's really bad about this whole thing, they handed the ATF the ability to change classifications at will, something they had not done before, and as we have seen, the Bump Stock was just the beginnings of that, and now, a $1.20 worth of stainless steel with some drawings or engraving is a "Machine Gun" or a simple piece of plastic is somehow now a machine gun, or that a lower frame is now a Gun and MUST have a Serial Number engraved on it, and many many other issues they have decided to change! Orange Man handed the Pedo in Chief the very tools he needed to restrict our rights, which NOW are costing MILLIONS of dollars to fight in court!

Trump did much good for this country, BUT, he also SCREWED Gun Owners and violated our rights, and that wasn't the first time he took an anti 2nd stance! I do not trust him, never did, and if he is going to run for office again, he MUST be made to answer for what he did in the past, so that we send him a message that he best NOT do anything against our rights, ever again!
