My dogs (Henry and Peter) get their fair share of human food. Licking the remains of my ice cream bowl is probably their favorite thing. Cleaning plates and bowls is productive if one can put it out of one’s mind easily, the next time you’re eating off of it. Lol.
Our Boys usually leave us alone, they lay down as close as they can, and pretend their not concerned at all, but if something should fall, they are ready! My Newfie however goes Absolute NUTS for French Fries, if we show up with Fries, it's drool city and he gets RIGHT up in your business and expects "His Share"
The ONE thing that drives them absolutely bonkers is a Pupachino cup at the local cofveve shop, no trip to town with the doggies is complete unless we stop in so the boys can have their expected Pupachino's, and they expect their fav. teen blond barista to deliver in person, and no one else! Talk about spoiled rotten, they absolutely Expect their treat every time!
note: a certain times animals carry parasites on their tongues... also the US military discovered at the start of WWII that MANY people had parasites... they did many studies and... humans infected with parasites had became a problem... so... they implemented steam cleaning of cooking and eating items to rid them of possible parasite infections... diffidently thinkin ya want to clean anything licked by an animal thoroughly!!! P.S. retired from a mosquito abatement and vector control district... the vector control part dealt with parasites!!! Be careful! in training saw many instances where people inadvertently managed to infect themselves with parasite...
Considering some of people we have amongst us these days ,,, these dogs are surely susceptible to catching some type of parasites from these folks. I'd rather have the parasites from the dogs .
All I have to say is, "Hamburger and french fries" and I have little boys full attention. He gets a chunk of bacon at the drive up window.
Car ride and Dog Walk is the trigger here. Now I live in the PNW rainland ,, Now the defrost is used overtime till I can see to come home ..
I almost always share my food with all my animals that are appropriate for them. I understand chocolate is a big no no.
Nah, when I was a young punk in high school my evil stepmother had a springer spaniel that she would sic on me to bite whenever the bitch could get away with it. Once I had a job and transportation, I fed that devil dog three Hershey bars a day for two years and he didn't even get fat. Or like me, dammit!
Thats funny! For my miniature schnauzer Della, it is popcorn. When she hears the corn popping in the microwave she goes nuts
