Goodness, using that logic....Assault weapons aren't real in the same sense that religion isn't real...the use of both for bad purposes can be blamed on the persons who use them, not the objects themselves.... yep, got it! Stay away from people with guns...and religion.

I can’t believe they only bought ONE small box of ammo with it. Who does that? Must be complete Amateurs.

That was the lower portion of the receipt, there may be more ammo purchases higher up the receipt.

Nah, not ocean. Michigan road salt crew. It's a real problem in the rust belt.
I lost my chevy avalanche to it.

I remember Michigan cars. Before they vaporized they would reach out and snag your clothes as you walked by. While you were getting yourself free you'd see the model badge on the ground that had rusted away from the hole that snagged your shirt. If it wasn't salt and cinders for ice in the winter it was waste oil and calcium chloride in the summer to reduce dust on dirt roads. All of this combined was a perfect mix to destroy your car. It's no wonder guys could make a good living selling "Southern cars" and spraying Ziebart.

Around here the worst we get is the laughable brine that they spray on the road. Since this is usually accompanied by rain, it mostly washes off and stunts the weed growth at the roadside and does nothing for any ice on the pavement. It's a feel-good busy-work Southern thing. ;)

Ah...salting roads in icy conditions for better traction?

My friends mom passed away and she had a caddy he drove down from Connecticut shortly after he got it down to SC the brakes failed. Come to find out where the brake lines were held in place by brackets the lines corroded from salt. He had to have all the lines replaced before he could sell it. My brother has a dodge RAM bed rusted out from salt his brother in law has a auto body repair shop makes runs south with engines returns to NY with truck beds. Brother got a rust free truck bed. One advantage of living in SC no salt on the roads no snow or ice

Salt is to melt the ice. Only effective down to around 25 degrees or -4 for you. Sand is good for traction and cinders make the ice darker so it'll melt faster when the sun comes out.

Best driveway design I saw growing up was concrete with asphalt at each side. The darker asphalt helped melt the snow and guide the blade as you plowed the snow off. Once the black surface was exposed the rest of the snow melted off.
