Another deer season draws to a close...

This is what we have to deal with !! I call them "Field Rats" , we have so many and they will NOT cull them down. Buck , doe behind and two fawns in the houses bushes.(Im 8-10 feet away in my car , talking at them thru my window ) They don't care.
I can count 5 to 8 per trip to the village. Today there were kids walking back home after school and I stopped u-turned and told kids to get on the other side of road away from Buck. I waited till the kids made it past and would use my car for a shield .
Cross bow out of window , instead of phone !! But town folk are dumb, they think meat comes from the supermarket !!

Come rifle season i plan to take at least 2 doe with the supressed .243, first chance to really hunt with it.

 

Deer that size are few and far between in my AO .
I've not done any hunting in a few yrs ,, but I was out behind the house at the creek bank a few days ago ,, there was a pretty good worn path paralleling the creek ,, gonna put a out a trail cam and see what's passing thru.

Been seeing a good bit of rabbits hoping across the road lately.
Been about 5-6 years since I've been home for any period of time . Been working at the coast for a while . Just now starting to feel like I'm getting back to normal.
About time to brush up on my wild game recipes .

 

Boom!!! neck shot, Sausage deer right there!

 

I just got back from the UP visiting family. I almost got the biggest deer I've ever seen at 5am.
She was like 800# and darting in and out of the roadway. I was on the binders as she darted off into the bush.
And by deer, I mean moose!
60mph to 5 in short order.
Man I am glad I didn't hit her.

 

Cancel that car insurance and see how fast you pee-lay one
