American Airlines ... Only 1 pilot?

    ya flew on a Canadair Bombardier CRJ700 den? Operated by SkyWest Airlines as American Eagle?

    dey has 2 pilots not 1, plus 2 flight attendants plus a classified number uv air marshals

    dey is made in Canada Sir @Cruisin Sloth knows about dem

    dat is da smallest dey fly

    da oders is A319s n A321s n B737s all uv dems has at least 2 pilots

    How small was the aircraft ? Broadly reading the FAA regs those under 12500lbs are only required one.

    about 75,000 lbs. MTOW

    plus

    66 ta 78 seats

    plus 18,055 lbs. payload


    dese are commercial airlines normally operatin under FAA Part 121 — Regional n major airlines n cargo airlines

    FAA Part 135 rules do not apply

    da rules fer aircraft wid fewer dan 19 seats do not apply

    Know about them yes , BUT ! I was in RCAF Rotary wing division , from the dreaded french egg beater (Piasecki CH-21C Shawnee) Lucky you folks had the same POS.

    Nope , They were so friggin noisy /LOUD you could not think, plus like the BS today half metric . Chain drivin stuff etc. Just poor / normal french crap.. Vertols and Chinooks from de havilland took over ,, I was working or helping with old advice on a sea king. Was moved via rail and the blades were not removed the correct way , Installed ?? someone didn't follow the system of RYFM !!

    It was a small plane, but it wasn't a Cessna or anything. I'm not exactly sure what type it was, or the weight. The picture I took is only from the front. I could dig up the picture if folks are interested.

    Have you reported it to the FAA and AA themselves yet ? If it’s causing you this much angst ?
