The best way to keep guns from hurting people is NOT trying to take them by force. Taking them by force will get a lot of people hurt.
This is going to end up in a good bit of law enforcement officials getting hurt or dead . Then it will vilify all gun owners. The cops will have to forcibly attack law abiding gun owners out of fear for their own safety ,, to enact the laws from their bosses. Unless they stand up to the unconstitutional politicians that is pushing for these unconstitutional laws ,, using lies to enforce illegal laws . How is it that gun confiscation always starts with the law abiding population,, and not with the criminals. I have " never " heard a politician talk of confiscating guns from the criminals.
Here's my worry ,, that a lot of our law officers have time invested in their jobs ,, are close to retirement,, and if they don't follow these illegal orders ,, they could be fired and lose their retirements. I am also hoping these officers realize the importance of our constitution. But these new overly armed IRS agents seem to be the left leaning types ,, which would seem to be the reason they're so willing to arm up against the citizens to try and collect some back taxes ,,, by threat of force or death .
The move is a step toward increasing federalized LEOs down to the most local of levels. Fed cops similar to the Soviet KGB will have very little remorse at capping lawful citizens. There will be those that fight back. If the door to door confiscation ever starts, I feel like enough cops will end up dead to cause the others to quickly re-think their employment options. Most police are bullies and most bullies quickly back down when met with resistance. I think the fed knows this and will let it play out in order to use federal troops.
