Y'all actually think presidential elections matter?
I'd rather make sure my candidates for sheriff, township/county/city council win, then who is in the state house. Granted, my state elected Whitmire again.
Well at least my sheriff won his office.

Vivek has done most of his homework, and he ahs shown more than once he is more than ready to botch-slap media types trying to play games. In this he is very much like Ms. Green.

He is NOT a lawyer nor is he a career politician - just like Trump on the strt of his run.

What Vivak lacks - or has utterly failed to show - is a 'machine' - a group of folks ready to step in and clen house and loyal to Vivek.
That was Trumps biggest mistake and one that could be fatal - no depth. Anybody that takes over has better have a set of folks - vetted! - ready on Day One to scoop up everything in the Plum Book.

Otherwise, it just going to be Deep State (entrenched bureaucrats) vs Trump or whoever all over again.

At this stage, if all of the extraconstitutional legal crap being pulled fails to block Trump, I'm afraid they will unleash some nutters to try and take him out. And don't think for a second that the alphabet agencies don't have a full stable of nutters to unleash.

Vivek has talked some shit about Israel - like cutting their gravy train, and that has upset the money/Jewish block here in the US - even though they (liberal Jews) are as anti-Israel as the average EUocrat.

While I don't agree with all of your views ,, I do respect your right to have them . But some of your views are , in my opinion,, far outdated. For some reason, you seem to think our country is overrun with White Supremacist ,, which is far from the truth ,, not that I have a vast amount of experience on the subject,, but that organization is for the most part obsolete . But if they are still active ,, they are not showing themselves in public anymore ,, at least not in their historical uniforms.
But , if they still are in existence,,, you will find them scattered throughout the Democrat party . Check in to our history of the KKK,, and you'll see who the real White Supremacist actually were,, are .

I believe that the MAGA's are the ones that are just the ones that's wanting the country to carry on as our Constitution and Bill of Rights have specified . Safeguarding the freedoms our country was founded on ,, so are those folks considered the Nationalists ? If so , what's so bad about that ??
I'm not trying to start an argument,, I'm just trying to figure out all these factions of folks that seem to be labeled as a bad group,, and figure out which one I belong to .

    Man, am I embarrassed.

In 2011, Ramaswamy was awarded a post-graduate fellowship by the Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans. In 2013, he earned a Juris Doctor from Yale Law School, where he became friends with future Ohio Senator J. D. Vance.
BTW - Paul is George's brother - don't know if he is/was an active Nazi like George.

    .His business dealings:

In 2014, Ramaswamy founded the biotechnology firm Roivant Sciences; the "Roi" in the company's name refers to return on investment.[32] The company was incorporated in Bermuda, a tax haven, and received almost $100 million in start-up capital from QVT and other investors,[32] including RA Capital Management, Visium Asset Management, and the hedge fund managers D. E. Shaw & Co. and Falcon Edge Capital.[29] Roivant's strategy was to purchase patents from larger pharmaceutical companies for drugs that had not yet been successfully developed, and then bring them to the market.[32] The company created numerous subsidiaries,[34][37] including Dermavant (which focused on dermatology), Urovant (which focused on urological disease), and China-based Sinovant and Cytovant, which focused on the Asian market.[34][38]

In 2015, Ramaswamy raised $360 million for the Roivant subsidiary Axovant Sciences in an attempt to market intepirdine as a drug for Alzheimer's disease.[31][39] In December 2014,[40] Axovant purchased the patent for intepirdine from GlaxoSmithKline (where the drug had failed four previous clinical trials) for $5 million, a small sum in the industry.[32] Ramaswamy appeared on the cover of Forbes in 2015, and said his company would "be the highest return on investment endeavor ever taken up in the pharmaceutical industry."[32][39] Before new clinical trials began, he engineered an initial public offering (IPO) in Axovant.[32] Axovant became a "Wall Street darling" and raised $315 million in its IPO.[40] The company's market value initially soared to almost $3 billion, although at the time it only had eight employees, including Ramaswamy's brother and mother.[32] Ramaswamy took a massive payout after selling a portion of his shares in Roivant to Viking Global Investors.[32] He claimed more than $37 million in capital gains in tax year 2015.[32] Ramaswamy said his company would be the "Berkshire Hathaway of drug development"[3] and touted the drug as a "tremendous" opportunity that "could help millions" of patients, prompting some criticism that he was overpromising.[32]

In September 2017, the company announced that intepirdine had failed in its large clinical trial.[32][41] The company's value plunged; it lost 75% in one day and continued to decline afterward.[32] Shareholders who lost money included various institutional investors, such as the California State Teachers' Retirement System pension fund.[32] Ramaswamy was insulated from much of Axovant's losses because he held his stake through Roivant.[32][40] The company abandoned intepirdine. In 2018, Ramaswamy said he had no regrets about how the company handled the drug;[40] in subsequent years, he said he regretted the outcome but was annoyed by criticism of the company.[32] Axovant attempted to reinvent itself as a gene therapy company,[42] but dissolved in 2023.[32]

In 2017, Ramaswamy struck a deal with Masayoshi Son in which SoftBank invested $1.1 billion in Roivant.[32] In 2019, Roivant sold its stake in five subsidiaries (or "vants"), including Enzyvant, to Sumitomo Dainippon Pharma;[32][43] Ramaswamy made $175 million in capital gains from the sale.[32] The deal also gave Sumitomo Dainippon a 10% stake in Roivant.[43][44]

While campaigning for the presidency in 2023, Ramaswamy called himself a "scientist" and said, "I developed a number of medicines."[32] Although his undergraduate degree is in biology, he was never a scientist; his role in the biotechnology industry was that of a financier and entrepreneur.[32]

In January 2021, Ramaswamy stepped down as CEO of Roivant Sciences and assumed the role of executive chairman.[43][44] In 2021, after he resigned as CEO, Roivant was listed on the Nasdaq via a reverse merger with Montes Archimedes Acquisition Corp, a special purpose acquisition vehicle.[45] In February 2023, Ramaswamy stepped down as chair of Roivant to focus on his presidential campaign.[32][46]

Ramaswamy remains the sixth-largest shareholder of Roivant,[32] retaining a 7.17% stake.[7] Roivant has never been profitable.[45]

Can you break this down and share your thoughts on all of this for us?
As to the Soros money, I'm thinking:
Young guy, hungry, needs money and a chance to go to a good school, guess who steps in?
Does Rama even know then who Soros is, does he care, that's a lot of money amd opportunity to turn down when your young and hungry!
As to the rest, I have no idea what is what here with what you posted, which has me curious!

When he took the grant money - he was already a multi-millionaire.

May be wrong but sounds like the for-sale sign was out.

HArd pass now. He would make a great Am-bass-a-door to India.

Ok, I see what your talking about now!

Here's my take ( I'm not defending him) BUT: A Grant vs Self Funding insulates you in your endeavors should you fail, your self worth doesn't suffer, SO, his taking the grant money insulated him from certain risks in the PROFESSIONAL WORLD, while insulating him in the PRIVATE world! I don't think this is nearly the evil smoking gun you might think it is, even it if was Soros money ( Which I seriously doubt, and it would be almost impossible to prove) so what! The other thing about Grant Money, it usually has to be used for a specific thing, Like Starting a business where you need a certain amount of "Public Support" in that field, vs going it alone, look at his income stream, he made that money by staring up Pharma Investments, I doubt you or I could randomly start up with our own money, we would need someone else's venture capital to boost us, get a foot in the door so to speak, Hell, if I had even a little of this dudes money, I would toss all mine in the fireplace!

Just my take on things, I'm not ready to toss the guy in the bushes and run back to Trump, Honestly, Trump is a snake in the Grass, dangerous as he is, he has proven to be NO FRIEND to the 2nd, nor our rights, and while he did some good things, he also did some seriously bad, and he is a fuckin ass hole braggart who only wants the job to feed his ego, so unless it's him vs the potato, I'm voting the other guy, maybe that's DeSantis, Maybe it's Vevik, IDK, but we all better get this shit wired tight before votin time, If there is to be any other option then TRUMP, we need to find that person, and I think what we need is a real Pit Bull in the Chi-na Shop of DC, and if this guy is half what he claims to be, then he is the guy we need!
