I live in the 6th least populace state in a low population density area and I have put about 79,000 miles on my leaf since may of 2018.
Problem with having a electric car in the city is having some where to charge it.

People rolling coal are dicks. almost killing people with breathing issues. There's nothing funny about it.

I'll leave you with a positive thing about EVs. When you can't buy gas or diesel anymore having wind and solar power to charge up your vehicle will be a game changer. I recommend a 48-volt golf cart. Does anyone think a CBDC will let you pump lots of gas or diesel? the thinking on fossil fuels by our representatives? is really bad. I say this as a man with a f-250 that has a 460 engine.

I can make electricity out of thin air a lot faster and easier than I can make my own gasoline or diesel replacement.

We actually have decent sized lithium deposits here in the US but can’t get the gov approval to use them.

    Zimmy Wait, I'm not ready!

Maine won't allow mining and Nevada only has one running mine because they can't match the current foreign prices.

If China goes offline, they'll be able to afford to run again as prices go up.

There’s going to be pain ahead I promise that. There are millions of miles of direct-buried power cables that had a 30 year life-span, from the 70’s and 80’s. Do the math. Transformers are popping now too, they never went bad. (Not necessarily from EV’s but from poor quality) Lineworkers can work as much as they’d like these days in many areas, it’s insane!!
(I could go on and on but why state the obvious, pain is coming!)

I've been curious why they don't bury power lines and avoid wind and fire problems. Maybe in a concrete culvert so access wouldn't be an issue.

Some places do convert but the main issue is expense. It’s easy for new construction, there’s nothing in the way usually.

It's been reported Ford has lost a ton of money on their EV's. For a while on TV both Ford and Chevy were advertising their electric trucks big time and to hurry and place your order--- Have not seen any advertising by either for their electric trucks in a while but the sure are pushing their gas powered trucks.

Wear that mask pops, Someone out there on the road is always after you if you think about it.
The coal rollers are pretty open and just don't cut them off.

Nah that 460 gas hogg burns more per mile than a coal roller, loaded, unloaded, up-hill or down-hill.
There are EV's out there that roll coal....baahaahaaa

Buryingpower cables increases the inductance, just putting anything in contact with the power cables for insulation adds capacitance.
In theory you can make an underground AC power cable long enough to where you get no power to the other end, if I remember correctly it would only have to be a few hundred miles long to experience 100% losses.

You have that wish granted - it is called a range extender.
Beemer i3 - 650 cc genset in the boot.
If you fiddle the software - you can run it in the road. Arrive at destination - hours away, with a battery showing 80% charge.

My son sold his because it finally dawned on him - Beemers are a nightmare and expensive to maintain.

I always wanted a BMW until I started watching car repair shows and saw how crappy some of the parts were.

Wind and solar use the most resources and the most land for the power they generate out of any source.
    windsolarnuclear.
I kind of doubt hydro electric takes into account the life of a dam can be 60 to 150 years
