I’m the father who along with her mother raised her such that the prospect of her dating anything less than a very smart, well dressed, well mannered guy who would be remarkably kind and respectful to her and us never existed. Didn’t need to instill any fear of the father and I don’t care much for sitcoms.

 

I’ll add a story and see who figures out her joke.

When a sophomore in HS my daughter said one evening, “Oh dad, there is a girl at school who wears entirely inappropriate clothes to school. They are terrible. I think she must have 67 protons.”

Yes, she was taking chemistry at the time.
