So your solution, is for uncivilised men to carry out summary extrajudicial sharia like honour killings and mutilations upon paedophiles in jails and penitentiaries? Who decides what is a "fair punishment"? Who authorises execution of such punishment?? On what basis does the executioner establish the guilt of the target of the 'fair punishment' ?? What if the punisher kills or maims the wrong person?? What if a target of 'fair punishment' reprisal is wrongfully convicted?? I do wonder how far down the slippery slope of thuggery and vigilantism an unciivilised man might be be prepared to go on the basis that the convicted (note that I didn't say guilty) be 'fairly punished'?? It seems like a recipe for arbitrary barbarism. I believe that pederasty and the sexual assault and exploitation of minors is both morally wrong, and criminally unlawful, and that those who have been given a 'fair trial' and have been convicted of their alleged crimes, be punished, but also afforded the same Constitutional protections as all residents of the USA are legally entitled and guaranteed the 8th Amendment included.
If you watched the movie, you would have seen that the traffickers were primarily captured by law enforcement.
The convicted got their "fair punishment" by being sent to prison. The prisoners, on the other hand, may not have felt he got a "fair punishment." That is always a possibility in prison. Don't want that possible outcome, don't do stupid criminal stuff that gets you in prison.
Sometimes... you just want to... only being "civilized" keeps us in check. There are other times... you have to.
