I totally stumbled upon this video and found it so interesting that I had to share it. Now, I didn't fact check any of this, but it does go along with what I do know about the topic; however, I discovered that I actually knew very, very little. I never knew much about the scope of this, the studies, or how it affected my age group, affected public health of the entire world and certainly didn't know that prop aircraft still use it: lead gasoline. It did make me ask the simple question upon completion of the video...what about the environmental and health impact of plastics?

Are those plastic bags that are so convenient to use at the grocery store degradable, or are they? How long to degrade or do they ever? And, what effect do they have if they do degrade? And, if they don't, why are they still in common use? How has plastics affected our health? Are we indeed inadvertently killing our species and the world by our technology and what other technology are we so openly killing ourselves with? Perhaps, 5G, fluoride, chlorine, sugar substitutes...the list is long?

Anyway, I found this extremely interesting and hope you will also

    Half the story is bullshit.
The hole in the ozone was never proven to be caused by cfcs and it was never proven to have increased UV at inhabited regions.
Now they act like the few small air planes that still use leaded gas are dumping as much lead as when every single car that used leaded gas.

Oh I am sure there is a lot of lies in the telling of the story but I did find it interesting, especially the historical part of it. After a bit more research, I found there is unleaded fuel that can be used for prop aircraft but FAA still has not approved it, don't know why. So, I think the point is not that a few aircraft are still using lead-fuel, the question is if it's so deadly and there is an alternative why are they still using it? Or, is the reason is that it's not as deadly as they stated?

Solar storms have a huge effect on the southern "hole in the Ozone". After a solar storm the hole in the o-zone gets blown out like the butthole of a child predator that's been thrown in with the general population.

My Apache 235, when I had it, used leaded gasoline, the engines were not set up of unleaded gas and it would have ruined them. Don’t know but I’d guess that the new aircraft engines are set up for unleaded. Haven’t flown in 12 years so I am out of date, someone correct me if I’m wrong.

This does make me wonder about a number of technologies that mankind has done that we don't truly understand - yet. For example, the covid vaccines. I read some really interest history about the polio vaccines that they pushed too fast, sure scared the hell out of me. My guess is we won't know the full priced paid for another 5-10 years for the covid vaccines.

As a Pilot, I do know what the fuss is all about on LL-100 Fuel, living AT or right across from an active airport, I can speak FIRST hand to those concerns, and can show you photos of my evidence to prove it's all true!
Imagine: You live directly under the pattern of a small but busy regional airport, one with a large and vibrant light sport community who actively fly, and ALL are forced to use LL-100 fuel, which is still leaded fuel! Imagine if there was some way to "Prove" the damage it causes in real time, There is, and I'll show you! Allow me a few days to show you irrefutable proof, and it's why there has been such a push to get rid of leaded fuels! For now, take a look at all the big cities, especially those in the south west, the three big ones, Los Angles, Los Vegas, and Phoenix are SMOG CENTRAL, and that's largely due to fuel emissions, these days,, it's diesel trucks and aircraft, and if you want the ugly truth, the aircraft pollute FAR MORE then the diesel trucks, and You can actually see it with your own eyes! When I built both my planes, I specifically spent the time and money to be able to burn un-leaded fuel ( MOGAS) in them, even though the performance is quite a bit lower, and the cost to build the fuel system was substantial, in the long run, knowing the gov. would be mandating a massive change, or states like Cali would mandate it instantly, I chose to bite the bullet and do it NOW, so I wouldn't be forced to later! The side benefits are, the E-85 fuels actually help with climb and high altitude performance, as they mitigate some of the effects of density altitude, and I can land just about anywhere and pull up to a gas station pumps and top up any time I want, and not have to land at some airport and pay the extra fee's and such, PLUS, I avoid traffic in the pattern which makes everyone's life that much easier! This NEEDS to change, and it's coming soon, a lot sooner then many folks would like, but it's needed change none the less!
