Yeah, you watch a movie, give it a good rating, then read something negative about the actor's personal life that ruins the movie. Ditto for some singers and other public figures. But there are more than a few actors, singers, politicians whose personal life is not repulsive in any way whatsoever.
Most actors are leftist. overpaid under educated and full of themselves. They have no connection to the common every day working man trying to make ends meet, raise their family and keep them safe from the likes of the liberal left.
Actors, much like most politicians, make a living out of portraying lies and/or story tales into believable narratives.

Absolutely! I damn near cried for joy when he made fire and sadness when Wilson left him. Would I have loaned the rich pretender $20 for lunch? Not a fucking chance without finding him washed up on a beach and looking like the movie. He gets paid (and earns it) for being a grand bullshitter.
There are actually quite of few that come to mind like Sly Stallone ranted about 'woke crap' and Chris Pratt is a devoted Christian, even Steven Spielberg stated he wouldn't change any of his films to be politically correct. I could probably come up with a few more given time but I think most simply don't want to cause waves unless they have to do - so - like most people, they keep their mouths shut and hope all this crap will blow over....some day soon.
Actors pretend to be someone else in movies with an agenda and then they become "experts" on the subject. Politicians pander to them allowing them to testifying before some committee DeCRAPrio comes to mind on global warming BS.

It would seem that Hank's main crime is that he's not a red ribbon MAGA conservative. There is not one explanation as to why the content of the short movie is objectionable, except possibly because it fails to validate the CSA 'lost cause' myth. In the movie, Hanks is not acting at all. He is simply a voice over artist, reading aloud a script.
