Can anyone still get the old school Nyquil anymore? The Nyquil they sell now-a-days is crap. I've been looking around for it, and I can't find it anywhere. The methheads ruined it for me. They don't even sell it on ebay. If you did find some dark corner of the the internet to buy it, it would probably laced with fentynal or some sh*t.
So many great meds have gone away. Novahistine would dry a runny nose in minutes. Unguentine would stop sun burn cold. Even Iodine is getting harder to find, and Mercurachrome I haven't seen in years. If we treat ourselves with OTC products, the Docs and Pharma lose money, so it's in their best interest to reduce the effectiveness.
You used to be able to go to the pharmacist and they had the good stuff behind the counter and you had to sign for it. Dopeheads caused that i heard . But a few weeks ago I asked about getting some and the girl said it was out on the shelf . She seemed to have an attitude, so I'm not sure if they still make it or not .
Prepping for this kind of disaster is why we are here. I bought a lot of meds before they become extinct. The writing has been on the walls for years.
Yeah, why my wife and I are in our golden years, so Art Rightist is a constant but unwelcome companion, which is why we have put a large quantity of Advil in our storage lockers before it too becomes a prescription only (PO) drug. The times they are a changin'
I remember a funny occasion when I first got back stateside and the pollen was murdering me. I went to the local drugstore and tried to purchase some allergy tablets, couldn't find any, so went to a second one and none and by the third one, being not only sick but very pissed off, stormed up to the pharmacist, "Don't any of you damn drugstores stock allergy tablets anymore? What the hell is the matter with you guys, I can buy them in any $hithole overseas!" "err... Yes sir. Can I see your driver's license, please?" "My drivers' license. I don't want any narcotic or prescription just some Claritin type stuff." Anyway, I was in for a big friggin shock, couldn't believe it, and he told me it was Idaho law due to meth heads using the stuff to make meth of something like that. Still find it hard to believe...
We always keep a stash of the good stuff I grew up with, at least more then I'm prone to use up and some of that stuff is more then 30 years old! Bactine was a biggy back in my childhood, and Iodine soap along with iodine drops, we have plenty of it all! Lidocaine ointments you can't get anymore, even the old DMSO you always had to show I.D. to buy, and have a note from the doctor to get. Now days, we also stock CBD oils in various "Flavors" and have made a bunch of topicals now that it's "Legal" except it isn't! Big Pharma has such a strangle hold on the medical industry that you can't get any of the good stuff anymore, and even with a doctor's script, it's usually not the same stuff, they want a universal vax. and a pill for all the rest, it's almost like they don't want to actually treat what's wrong anymore, just take this pill and go away. Thankfully, there are still small Apothecary shops around so some of the stuff you can get through them, or they can mix up something for you that's just as good, or close enough! Hell, we even stocked up on the Horse Medications before all the blowback from the Koof, I s likely we are gonna need it more and more as China and Fauxie keep fucking around with bugs!
They already did that here in Oregon, our Benevolent Gov'ness made that "Law" before her term ended, completely unlawful, but it's law none the less!
I actually saw a video today that said this vet prescription thing went into effect , , today ,, 11 June.

Its almost like we are living in the early stages of some dystopian novel of fiction....... that has moved to the non fiction section.
Tussionex was a prescription, but there was a generic. No more for both. It was like magic for me. One teaspoon at night and the cough is gone.
Same here, and given the look at the insides and rotten underbelly of it, it scares me, and I don't scare!
