A good friend of mine lives down there, and always tells me stories of Bill picking up everyone's tab in restaurants, bar tabs, and other random acts of generosity. Being in the food service repair industry, my buddy has run into Bill several times and says he is always nice, always has time for a fan, but is a little weird. It would be nice if all celebrities would follow his lead.

 

Worked part time at a boat repair place outside Charleston Bill had the zodiac from one of the movies he made The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou in for repair. Took everyone out to lunch yea real down to earth guy.

 

And..... Change a tire on my car, use a rotary dial phone, uuse a reel-to-reel projector, read a physical book, enjoy the outdoors without an electronic device, cook without a microwave.

 

I could never understand why we buy ANY military equipment from the nation that will likely be our primary enemy in the next World War.

 

That's why I don't listen to music on my bluetooth hearing aids in public. I still remember, in a time before
ear pieces, seeing people walking around singing or talking to themselves.
