Nothing. Nothing but infantry moves, shoots or communicates anymore without power. I used a field message book, a stubby pencil and a runner as my most reliable communication technique. We used to push start one M274 Mule and use it to drag the rest of them around with a rope to get them running. Before automatic transmissions we could bump start all the diesel trucks. Fuel could be carried in cans. That's why they have handles. Even the "Single Battlefield Fuel" couldn't stop us. We just had to change an absurd number of filters until all the old crud was flushed out by the JP8.

In seven years we expect to produce, procure and field a whole new fleet of vehicles, with great heavy batteries that require special charging equipment? Can we do it with 100% domestic content? No? Who makes the spare parts? At what cost? I haven't seen any 1000KW portable generators that run on anything but diesel. Maybe we'll just have engineers with battery powered rechargeable chainsaws and electric D9 dozers clear us a nice meadow to roll out a few acres of solar charging panels on. Then we just wait for the sun to shine and our batteries to charge..

I can tell you what the Navy will say about loading electric vehicles aboard their transport ships. NO!

You want to move some vehicles slung under aircraft. Ha!

The whole idea of battery powered tactical vehicles would be laughable if these people didn't seem so recklessly determined to change things. Let's test a couple in salt water and see how that works. The HMMWV has been around since 1983, the MRAP since 2007. They work. They've also gotten heavier and heavier since they were originally fielded. The addition of a few thousand more pounds of relatively short service life batteries alone will destroy any off road capability they had.

A nifty new 150 ton all-electric battle tank will make Hitler's imaginary Super Tanks look like pikers. But the logistics train is gonna be ridiculous.
