The climate on planet earth has been changing ever since it's formation. It's ridiculous to think man can stop the process and exactly what are we saving the planet from (us) it will be here long after humans are extinct. history supports your words... the vikings were farming in iceland and greenland around 700 to 900 ad... something happened and the mini-ice age came along IIRC... and the vikings withdrew and went south... to england and such... interesting IMHO... and there have been times when the earth was way hotter then now... so the claims about global climate change are IMHO BOGUS and being used to tax and control us all...
Often the mine, factory, refinery, etc. was there first. The poor moved in because the land was cheap and there were jobs nearby.
