I'd only be satisfied with that if THEY are up front during battle, to soak up enemy fire. Let that "transfat" do something constructive for a change. Or they get captured, and are a burden to the enemy. Either way, problem solved!
I've seen a lot of odd photo ops that ended campaigns, and comments that alienated voters, but I've never seen a candidate get hitched to an unfavorable statement so early in their campaign. I think what's hitting the meme circuit and GIF loops has been taken out of context. Pence was answering the question about tanks for Ukraine, but it'll be tough to get out from under. .
