I saw a lot of these Soviet memorials across East Europe (like the big one in East Berlin) and also thought...okay that is for the millions that died fighting the Fascists but what about the millions that died at the hand of the Communist leaders which were a hell'va lot more, especially if you add up not only Stalin but China and all those other Asian Commie despots.

In Amerika, it's a pretty fine line between the Fascists and the Commies. I guess the telling point and figuring out the difference is the fascist government folks want to exercised control over private property but not nationalize it. Christians have killed far more in the name of God/Christ then all others combined, just sayin! The Last 2023 years and counting haven't been very peaceful to the rest of the world!

 

That quote is pretty common. I think it’s been a while since Christians killed others based on religion.

Oh, I don't know about that... We might be more knowledgeable about Christian failures and atrocities simply because that's what most of us are, so we tend to see it in a harsher light but Muslim, Hindu, and all those Asian religions weren't exactly peaceful, far from it.

 

I take exception to that statement! I consider it biased and incorrect. Look closely at Genghis Khan and also look closely at Islam!

Yep, pick an incident where a lgbtq+ person was killed, might be room to blame the minister by say god says so.

 

I don’t think an incident where an individual kills another is on par with the slaughters listed.

I stand my me assertion about Christians, and that list is FAR from complete it even accuracy, forgetting several instances that happened outside the realms traditionally associated with this!
Start with the Christians against the Muslims, then the Romans, then the Russians, the shere numbers alone should top the list before we get to modern times! Those mentioned, as bad as they were, never came close the the reach or scope of what Christians have done! Look at the "Conversions" of Africa and all the island nations of the world, places where the "Word of God" was brought by the book or the sword! How many died as America fought for it's independence from the Crown, you can claim it wasn't religion, but it did count for a major part of things! How many died as Russia expanded along with it's Christian influences, Orthodoxy IS Christianity in a more pure form, arguably the purest as it predates Roman Catholicism by several hundred years! How many Mores, how many Asians, how many Islanders???
