Neat-O garden tractor score!

had a David Bradley walk behind tractor at 1 time, my brother lost that for me still have the plow-disc-cultivator-snow plow for it. picked up another walk behind but it's not a D.B., needs work and tires.

 

After a collapse the walking tractors become king for subsistence farming because of their simplicity and fuel economy. My Simplicity has three speeds forward and reverse between pulleys and gear box with a 6hp Briggs and my David Bradley has two forward and ratcheting hubs and does just fine with it's original 3 1/2 hp briggs. And because I'm lazy I have another DB with hub locks waiting for me to mount a 3 1/2 Briggs with reverse shaft I've been sitting on for too many years. By the way, if you look around you can pick up used four wheeler ATV tires and rims cheap and they give you more traction than you can use. a couple sets off an old Yamaha 350 even had the right bolt pattern needing only an 1/8th inch larger lug hole drilled for my Simplicity.

here are some pics of a couple machines that I've acquired over time. first up is a sears mach. originally with 16 HP now 9 HP honda, this one is only 3 spd with 2 spd hi-lo or 6 spd's and reverse, it came with a snow plow and grader blade. the other 1 is a walk behind called a pep-p-pal made in kansas, circa 30's/40's, no attachments. both need work and tires.

 

I like the 34 Vaughn, Ura-Ki, I've always liked the old baby tractors, wish i still had the David Bradly, i found one but the guy wanted 650 USD. for it, little stiff on price for me right now, just hope i find one a bit cheaper is all.

 

I have a 2112 Grillo G85D with a Grillo tiller and Zanon mower deck. And I Gravely professional 12 with 40 finish mower deck 30 inch bush hog deck rotary plow, snow blade and sulky. They still make two wheel tractors in Europe and Asia

If you like garden tractors and are in the Portage Wisconsin area the first week. In July. There is a 3 or 4 day show there will be about every brand displayed along with swap meet. Usually 600 to 800 tractors. This is one of many shows around the country. These tractors are well made and if taken care of will last many years.

 

My neighbor decided to s'can his big wheel Gravley, 20''tires 8.5 pony Briggs and Stratton.
I'm like hey dude you getting rid of this, he's like yeah man I'm a going to buy something newer.
Help me load it up as one of my brothers loves iron like this.
I carry it to my brothers house who is tickled pink and now has it up and running most bon.
