This is on the web-site but generally the mfg suggests higher prices than actuality, I'm thinking locally around 750.00 once the dust settles The manufacturer’s suggested retail price is $928 for the version with a Henry magazine well only and $959 for the versions that include an additional magazine well. All Henry Repeating Arms firearms are purchasable only through a federally licensed dealer. If you want a Henry, just get a .30-30 or some such. These "guns" are just gimmicks to separate you from your money.
A company called Mech Tech out of Kalispell MT makes uppers for several different pistol frames in several different calibers. You simply remove the slide from your semi-auto pistol, pin the frame to their upper and it turns it into a 16" barreled carbine. They make them in 9MM, .45 ACP, 10MM and .45 Rowland and probably a couple of others. They also make them for 1911 or Glock frames. Since the upper carbine conversions do not by themselves constitute a firearm, you need not fill out a 4473 or do the background check thing. They can be ordered directly from their web site and shipped to you. Last I checked they're about $600 or so but that was awhile back. MechTech Systems | Pistol Carbine Conversion 1911 Glock XDM
It is very pleasing to the eye and it takes gulck mags. The only other nice looking 9mm blued steel and wood carbine option I know of took S&W m59 mags. The S&W gave the 9mm a bad rap for jamming, idk if the gun was junk or if police departments just expected them to last forever like a revolver and wore them out or if US manufacturers hadn't figured out how to load good 9mm ammo in the 1980s. If or you wanted a pile of shit with a wood stock that fires 9mm bullets there's always a sten gun. I suspect at least part of it was the ammo as the hot loaded duty ammo had a reputation for being reliable.
Ruger makes a nice take down 9mm carbine and it runs about $550. Can use Ruger or Glock mags. Nice to have your carbine fire the same mags as your sidearm.
