The federal government and the founding frame work is supposed to prevent this from happening but the federal government appears to be encouraging a civil war by allowing violations of the Constitution.

Sorry, I don't think this will ever happen.
first both state legislatures have to agree to change borders.
and then it must be approved by the US Congress.

I just don't see this happening.

This has happened before in our history. States borders have changed before. There is a process for it.
But I also don't hold out much hope of it happening.

    Found this;

"Congress determines the boundaries of states as of the time they enter the Union, and can create new states (Kentucky and West Virginia from Virginia, for example). To change a boundary between two existing states, state governments of the two states would have to both agree, probably by each passing suitable legislation, and then ask Congress to make it official."

The states don't care about federal laws or the constitution or what congress says any more.
If you want to do it, then do it.
Are the west Oregon G men willing to die to force west OR to bend the knee? Probably not. Does the federal government care enough to do the same? Maybe, but by the time east Oregan gets felling froggy enough to make that jump, the federal government will likely have bigger fish to fry.

I'm certain it isn't unconstitutional to change state lines. I'm pretty sure the capital isn't going to let the farmlands go just as they suddenly understand how important it is when eggs are so pricey. Just my guesses.

Plus the loss of tax revenue. Oh, they might act like they don't care now but when the spreadsheets hit their desks of loss taxes... Nope, ain't gonna happen.

If it happens I will put my house up for sale the same day and move to one of those counties. Oregon itself would have to agree meaning it won't happen for the following reasons:
    • Lefty Oregon would lose a shit ton of tax money they get to harvest from the rural people they despise and use it for social projects allowing them to virtue signal their benevolence at the expense of others.
    • Lefty Oregon knows that there would be an exodus of producers leaving them to their tent cities, street drugs, sexual deviants, and the other moochers.
    • Lefty Oregon LOVES being able to push rural Oregonians around and will do anything to torture and/or piss them off. If they break away no more fun.
    • Lefty Oregon just can't handle the thought of rural Oregon being happy and free.

Eastern Oregon would have to band the counties together and SUE the livin shit out of Portland and the state legislature in order to see any traction forward. I don't think they have enough support to go full HAM on the state, but DAMN if they could pill it off!

As 3M points out above, it wouldn't happen with out one hell of a fight, and Lefty Portland with is Gov'ness Brownstains appointed courts would NEVER allow anything so bold! NO, the lefties will continue as usual until they get the shit sued out of them!

The super scary part is: Lefty Oregon is ONLY those 5 counties surrounding Potland and Eugene and that one out on the coast! While they have the population numbers, what they don't have is LAND!
Oregon's lefties are about to get their ass's handed them thanks to Bruen, they can wine and bitch and raise all sorts of stink, but once the 4 rulings come down from the 9th AND the state supremes are forced to square with Bruen, Their anti Gun dreams will fade to black, after that, things will shift toward freedoms!

Yes, there definitely is a lot happening in the Firearms arena everywhere. This 26-state suit against the ATF concerning the Pistol brace is going to rock the ATF. I cannot see the ATF winning that case as they went way outside their lane, and this will dovetail into a lot more case against them. We might be seeing a new beginning here. I don't think we'll see the end of the ATF but certainly a less powerful one.

I don't want to stray too far off the subject here but...but if the ATF loses the Pistol Brace ruling (26-state suit), which I do not see how they can possibly win, then...what is the sense of their Short Barrel Rifle rule? Makes it sort of senseless...will that get thrown out eventually also?

have always thought the best way to counter this kinda thing where one area rules the entire state...

set up something similar to the electoral college in each state...

and allow each county to have 1 vote to decide things...

so the people in each county actually have a voice as to what is happening in their state.
