I'm going to have to call bullshit on that. Between 80 to 90% of firearms murders are done by people with violent criminal records, have done other gun crimes and/or are already murders.
According to Washington DC police their average murder suspect has 12 prior arrests.
University of shitcago say a typical shooting suspect has 11 prior arrests.
They know who's doing most of the shootings and firearms murders, they just choose to ignore that group.

Remember the mass shooting in Virginia a few years ago I think it was like Chesapeake or Virginia Beach town hall, the perp supposedly used a silencer. But people inside the building across the street heard gunshots....
I wonder if it's going to be like Uvalde where they "found" a hellfire trigger just laying on the ground like 2 days after the shooting.

The alleged manifesto of the Jacksonville Dollar General shooter was almost immediately released, revealing a racial component to victim selection by this mentally deranged white dude, who had a history of antidepressant medication treatment. I'm sure there is more info yet to be released, but might not be.

Have the writings and manifesto of the Nashville Christian school shooter been released yet? I haven't heard many specifics on that case, except for a lot of circumstantial conjecture from people who knew the school shooter was a former student at that school, and identified as a transgender male (originally female) who had a history of antidepressant and male hormonal transition treatment.

If we in the innocent public are to be potential targets for these mentally deranged individuals, we have the right to know from what type personalities the hostile fire might be coming from without having to make guesses.

 

Honest mistake

But here is an example of a criminal with a "long and violet criminal history", who had a running gun battle in a Walmart parking lot against cops got put in jail then made bail then 6 months later gets in another shoot out with cops, shoots and injured an innocent passer by.

Now he is looking at doing 25 years, no chance of bail, no early release.
