have had a gum/tooth/sinus infection for some time with spitting up pink saliva in the morning and a swollen glade just behind jaw now and have taken clindamycin and finally a z-pac I finished last night around 5pm. got up this morning and spit was a rather bright red looked at tongue in mirror and ugh... did not think to take pictures till after the 3 morning rinses tried tooth brush on it and so far don't want to come off... finished zpac last night around 5 pm... no idea what this is can you suggest what it might be???

Ouch! I really hope that you'll be able to get it checked and figure out what's going on. Thankfully, the mouth heals very fast. Hope you will feel better soon.
I'm not an oral nor maxillofacial surgeon. I did stay a holiday inn express the other day. I'd say you should go see your health care provider or at least a dentist as they've seen and been trained in oral health. It could be Black Hairy Tongue but it could be something worse See a professional. Expecting a diagnosis on the internet might not be the best option.
have been seeing a doctor and dentist... that's how I got the anti-biotics... went through 3 courses of clindamycin 60 caps 300 mg and just finished 1 course of 6 pill z-pac 250 mg... have had at least 4 CT scans of head and mouth... which showed NOTHING BTW... also just had a tooth root canal-ed over this tooth that was hurting... tooth was still heat cold sensitive after AND still hurt??? got a spot on the gum outside slightly behind canal ed tooth that was very sensitive... been spitting up pink spit every morning for awhile now... this morning was way different mouth was full of bloody spite and did not think to take pics till after my usual 3 rinse listerine, then act fluoride, then peridox... noted the first time I used the fluoride the spot on outside of gum stung some... also at one point the blue colored listerine came out purple... took pics and sent to provider and ENT Dr. at VA
Yeah I am not a fan of doctors but if it was me I’d be at the doctor’s office today! That is definitely not normal!
