Nothing they say can be trusted.
None of their actions are in good faith.

Many of the envirofaith are too short sighted to be able to envision the full implications of what they advocate for. I agree mankind needs to get the plastics out of the ocean. I agree that the off shore fisheries need to be protected. I agree the nations forests need better management. I want to breath clean air and drink clean water. All of these things have been taken for granted and although laws have been passed little if any enforcement is done.

The situation the planet is in needs a measured approach to getting fixed and as it’s steward we have a responsibility to accomplish it thoughtfully without impeding growth and technological progress.

I grew up at the dawn of the environmental movement. It was a movement to save the planet, to preserve our forests and wetlands. To counter pollution.
Somewhere along the way it got hijacked by these climate change fanatics. It is a religion to them.

I am a very strong proponent for solar, the problem as I see it is that people in general are not willing to take a serious interest in it.
Homes can be built to make use of solar energy beyond photovoltaic.
But traditional home building is not going that way unless laws are implemented to force such moves.
Individuals that think out side the box are hindered with red tape to prevent such thinking. Earth Ship is a prime example.

I agree that in areas where solar is most efficient it makes sense. But I have always been against mandates. Above the 48th parallel, it makes little sense to put out the money for solar voltaic, but solar assist hot water is a good option there.

Most "environmentalists" I know have never actually been out in it. They may have been on a well manicured trail or gone camping, but it's really just another cause that they use to give themselves purpose. Unfortunately our schools no longer teach people to think for themselves, and even when I was in school you had to seek it out.

Any form of "renewable" energy such as wind, solar, geothermal, wave generators, etc. you use to generate electricity removes that energy from other purposes. There are always unintended consequences that we rarely take into consideration and the more you take the greater the consequence.

Interstate Power Project. Burns Utah coal, pollutes Utah air and uses a ton of Utah water.
The vast majority of the power goes to SoCal. Owned by LA Power, it pays no property taxes.- just reduced in-lieu taxes.

Lets not forget the sq kilometers of Utah covered by solar power farms' all the power going to SoCal.

These do produce 'jobs'. I have a niece paying for her college as a 'squeegee operator', cleaning panels.

I grew up in the middle of the First MASSIVE enviro-nazi push here in Oregon, it started in the late 1970's ( Some say it started with Deregulation of Trucking) and things REALLY kicked off in the early 1980's with the Infamous Spotted Owl Lie everyone was fed! Much of my family was ether Farming, or Logging, and we suffered greatly when the States and Envio-nazi's managed to shut all the logging down, killed entire towns and communities, destroyed a major source of state income, and forever changed the way we manage the forests here! The same scam continues to this day, the entire Wet Coast has fallen under the Democrap control of Utopian dreams, they steal money set aside to manage the forests and spend it on pork bellies, while the feds have usurped control of state lands and steal the resources from the state and it's citizens! Oregon NEVER recovered from this disaster, and with the Fisheries now almost completely destroyed, and the new push against Hydro Power and removal of Dams, were spiraling out of control into oblivion! It was all done to "Urbanize" this state, remove the prime sources of income and make the state subservient to the Fed Gov! Going back even further, Pres. Roosevelt fucked us royal with the creation of Wild Life Preserves right in the heart of PRIME Ranching areas of south eastern Oregon, Locking out a very large amount of lands, and effectively cutting the state off at the knees! Mismanagement of resources have made it even worse, and then we have the Klintoons with their Uranium One deal which allowed the Feds to come into the state and steal highly valuable strategic resources and sell them to our enemies, and you think the STATE gets any of that income, FUCK NO! We also have Wolves here, though I will not share where or how many, they were never really eliminated here, though the fuckin ranchers would absolutely love to accomplish that, and because we don't manage our wildlife properly, we have other major issues, mainly an Over Population of Cougar and Black Bear, as well as many herds of deer that are unfit for consumption, and have to be destroyed! And lets not even talk about the Wild Mustangs we have here, again, not managed properly, and over populated! But hey, lets kill the ONE APEX predator that controls all that, and blame them for killing cattle and sheep, instead of securing those animals and managing them properly, we just kill the Wolves here! FUCKIN ENVRIO-NAZI'S and DemoCraps! Lets just destroy it all in the name of Utopia so we can all live like wood sprites!

I was offered a job as manager of a Motorola Comm Shop in Estcada, Oregon owned by a Logging Outfit, in the 70’s. three years later it was bust as was most of. the town…. Then 20 years later I ran into the fellow I interviewed with, for that job, in Hoonah, Alaska… He was looking for a shop foreman for his Comms Operation… His story about what happened in Oregon, would make anyones Blood Boil…

99% of people go through life convinced their opinion/theory/view is the only correct one. Thanks to the internet way too many of these educated-beyond-their-intelligence morons have a public platform to spew their idiocy.

I grew up in the Piedmont of NC. The only things you couldn't kill to eat were eagles and hawks. We had bear, panthers, deer, the occasional hog, and most every other critter. There didn't need to be protections as everything balanced out. If rabbits were scarce one year, it was because the hawk population was up, but it would reset in a year or two. I remember when the deer population started to die off in Pungo NWR because someone decided to ban hunting them. It was sad seeing some of the deer born without eyes, 4 front legs, etc. because of the inbreeding.

Name an "environmental cause" that has accomplished it's goal without greater detriment to something else. Nice try.

Sorry, I couldn't watch to the end. The particular speech pattern of extending and trailing off words at the end of a sentence is one of the many things that irritate me to no end. I have worked with people like this presenter who do this, and every one of them was a smug asshole who enjoyed the smell of their own farrrtts.

We have way to many " Laws that Force" us to do things against our will. If solar was cost effective people would go for it on their own.
If the government was telling us the truth about saving the planet they would not be letting millions of illegals into the country who use our resources--- population increase by it's very nature leads to degradation of the environment--more require food, more housing (takes farm land out of production--reduces wildlife habitat), more water, generate more waste, simple more of everything.
This climate change BS is just a liberal scam to redistribute wealth nothing more.

They are saying that global warming will cause places to be wetter, flood more, etc and are also claiming that it will make places dryer. So by taking up mutually exclusive positions on everything, eventually they will be "right" about something.

See 536AD. It's referred to as "worst time in recorded history to be alive" and "winter lasted 2 and a half years in most of Europe". Radio isotope dating shows some trees that were growing during that time are missing a ring or have a barely readable 536 and 537 rings.

+$40,000 to build a greener house
Is about +$16,000 more after federal tax credits.
"Saves about $1,000 a year". Probably
"Lasts longer". I don see any evidence of that.
You're fucked if your geothermal loop gets a hole in it. Then you're likely replacing it with the cheaper $38,000 non geothermal system.
