Sometimes I love Google Earth...

    ...sometimes not so much.

    I found my Uncle Buck's house in Detroit from an address on an undated letter he wrote at a time when A and C ration books were in use. (1943?) He had already moved North from Detroit and was enjoying the fishing in Otsego Lake. This would later result in the strangest introduction at any dinner table I ever attended. "This is my Great Nephew Charlie, this is my Mother, and this is my Step-mother." Hey, it sounded odd, but it worked for us, even in 1968.

    Built in 1912, it's older than most of the houses on the street, and the only one with an antenna.

    At least there aren't trees growing through the roof and you can still see the sidewalk.

    Yeah I faced one of those weird introductions this summer from 2 older gals and the daughter
    This is my mom and stepmom
    I'm like damn yall friends?
    Only it turned out the older babes were lover's to each other.Shut my mouth!

    It's safer not to make assumptions....it could have been the daughter and the stepmother who were lovers. :eek:

    Ah....the marriage makes the relationships much clearer...Nice that some people can find Love and seal it with matrimony formally. But not if Clarence Thomas (and others) have their way.
