Diesel Fuel Shortage

I've been hearing more and more talk about the looming diesel fuel shortage. We currently have a 25-day reserve of diesel on hand, the lowest levels since the 1950s... which was before the interstate highway system was build! Back then goods were moved around the country on trains, barges and ships, not trucks! Trucks were small and mostly used to move goods the short distances from train stations and ports to wholesalers and retailers. The areas of the country that it appears will be affected first will be the southeastern and northeastern states. In the northeast, a majority of homes are heated with heating oil (aka diesel) and that is gonna hurt this winter. I'm not really sure why the southern states are being affected...maybe it's because we supported President TRUMP (I still love the sound of that) in 2016 and 2020... and will do so again! Whatever, I got a plan for this!

 

I think we should all go out and buy diesel, cause a shortage and it will just be another screw up that happened under bidens watch.
I don't know of there ever being a diesel fuel shortage.
Sometimes you have to be part of the problem to be part of the solution.

It does matter under Bidumb we have been paying a hell of a lot more. We pay all the bills the government knows only how to spend(waste) our money. Unlike a business the government produces nothing, Business fails to generate revenue they go out of business, government just taxes us more when they run out of money or they just print it.

Somehow I think the 25 days will fizzle out about March and we will hear nothing more about it. Unless it’s “Joe saved us” garbage.

 

If Feds allow #2 fuel oil (home heating oil) to be run in trucks as an emergency measure, then they can just export the problem to those in the North East that heat with oil. Wonder how many liberals that would take out by freezing to death this winter.

 

There are 1 million barrels (50 million gallons) in the Heating Oil Reserve that Biden is being encouraged to release this winter, in order to lower the price of heating oil! I also read that the US was importing 90 million tons of diesel, heating oil and jet fuel! Remember when we used to produce and refine our own fuels? I do! It was only a couple of years ago, when President TRUMP (I still love the sound of that) was in office! Back when we didn't have to import baby formula from foreign countries!

 

And it's gonna stay down!

 

Being what most would consider an anarchist I concur but your statement insinuates that we should not vote or choose our dictator based on their intentions. Doing nothing while majority rules is not really a wise course of action as we are subject to their whims. When Trump was in office money/fuel wasn't an issue and I'm pretty sure we all have to use money regardless of what 12 USC § 411 says so we might as well have some say in the process.

If you look at the LAW you will see that it says one thing and they enforce the opposite. This RUSE is the whole reason for the conspiracy movement, sovereign citizen movement, and wealthy people not paying taxes.

Let me get this straight....Under Trump the government used tax (our) dollars to fill the strategic reserves. Now the government is releasing (selling) the reserves back to us. Basically they have formulated a plan to make us pay for the same fuel twice. Inflation is also a way the government makes more money. If a widget that cost $10 two years ago ($11 with a 10% tax, for example) now costs $20 ($22 with a 10% tax rate) the government basically has doubled their income. There is plenty of fuel, and will be for as long as any of us are alive. It is about money, always has and will be. I remember the long gas lines under Carter because there was a fuel shortage. Funny how we found enough to get by for 45 more years, huh? Trump was hated by the politicians because he was cutting their available funds used for pet projects and lining their own pockets. Now they have to double down and get the coffers filled again.

 

This is why Biden keeps saying the economy is so great right now... for him it is.

 

When you take 10% off the top it's usually always great.

 

How many people are going to have to die before that happens?

 

Seeing as the majority of those in the NE are flaming liberals I hope they get real cold this winter. Their green energy ain't going to do much for them and it's coldest at night when the sun don't shine.

 

The gas shortages during the Nixon, Ford and Carter administrations were largely due to the Arab Oil Embargos for our support of Israel and strikes by truckers. I too, remember the lines at gas stations, the "out of gas" signs on the pumps, buying gas on odd or even days depending upon your tag number, and limits on gas purchases! Hell, I helped push a few cars that were out of gas to the pumps! My Daddy bought a car because it had a full tank of gas! The problem wasn't that there was no oil to be refined into gasoline, the problem was that there was no gasoline at the gas stations or in our cars!
