I heard this recording years back, interesting to hear these 4 playing together, now they are all gone. Probably downloadable somewhere. Million Dollar Quartet Million Dollar Quartet - Wikipedia "Million Dollar Quartet" is a recording of an impromptu jam session involving Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Johnny Cash made on December 4, 1956, at the Sun Record Studios in Memphis, Tennessee. An article about the session was published in the Memphis Press-Scimitar under the title "Million Dollar Quartet". The recording was first released in Europe in 1981 as The Million Dollar Quartet with 17 tracks. A few years later more tracks were discovered and released as The Complete Million Dollar Session. In 1990, the recordings were released in the United States as Elvis Presley - The Million Dollar Quartet. This session is considered a seminal moment in rock and roll.

Whoa… he sees Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison and John Lennon. Then out comes Jerry Garcia, Curt Cobain, Janis Joplin, Freddie Mercury, even Dusty Hill and more. An ego to match his talent and man o man what a talent! Growing up in small town Texas you could be at the cafe and here Jerry Lee, Elvis, Buddy,and Chuck Berry mixed in with Bob Wills, maybe Hank Thompson, certainly Ernest Tubb. I guess you could say I grew up with a wide ranged musical education. Of course this was before the Redcoats invaded.....again, but they wouldn't let us shoot 'em this time. R.I.P. to all the original rockers.
