We have done business with Osage County Guns, nice store and good folks. Using a stolen car as a battering ram is a well-used tactic for the inner city pieces of shit I recommend...Hanged, drawn and quartered for the perps.. Fastened to a hurdle, or wooden panel, and drawn by horse to the place of execution, where he is then hanged (almost to the point of death), emasculated, disemboweled, beheaded and quartered (chopped into four pieces). His remains would then be displayed in prominent places across the country. vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv On 9/3/22 a group of young criminals out of St. Louis arrived at our store in three stolen vehicles. One of those vehicles was stolen just hours before they arrived and drove the car through our entrance using it as a battering ram. Roughly eight of the individuals stormed the inside of our store smashing cases and stealing a variety of items including firearms. In the last few weeks there have been roughly six local gun / sporting goods stores robbed in the night and most involved the use of stolen vehicles. The ATF is offering a $7,500 reward and we are offering a $10,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of the individuals involved in the robbery. Details can be found on our blog at
The government made this happen. Used to be you could be an FFL and your home could be your business address. Now you pretty much have to have a commercial property. If some perp drives a car into your house they itching to take the 12ga challenge.
It's OK, no lives were endangered and it was only a property crime, if caught the state charges will plea bargined away in hours and they were only trying to redistribute the wealth. All the reason to get out the vote for Nov. Something has to change or we are doomed as far as the cities and the areas around them. Sad but more places are using bollards in front of the doors. Crime used to be a couple people, but now it is big business. Somebody probably cased the place and each one knew just where to go and what to get.
That's a lot of balls robbing a gun store. These idiot kids don't realize these stupid things they're doing can get them killed. Prayers for your business.
WTF were they doing, having a meeting? If a gun store had one of those homeowner ring cameras and the person saw a group like that outside the store at 2am it's pretty obvious it's about to get robbed and the police could have been half way there as they drove though the entrance. I don't think you are dealing with future rocket surgeons.
Not excusing the POS thieves, but Osage should have had larger and more bollards closer together.. With the way it is, we all have to upgrade our security and maintain our situational awareness.
Bollards inside the door, and anchored vehicle deterrence plate outside the door, that would stop the car before it ever got to the bollards inside (or, likely the door itself). Take a page from the military's book, on how to deter vehicles from running the gate. If they steal a semi, the cab might still make it thru the front of the store.....but I doubt the driver will be in any shape to smash and grab anything!!
I can tell you Monkeys, that ATF takes that type of violation of the FireArms Act of 1968 as Amended very seriously… When these Bozos get caught the local US Attorney will immediately charge them under the Federal Statutes, and they will be Headed to the FEDERAL GRAYBAR HOTEL for a minimum 10 to 25 years plus restitution, and plus a hefty Federal Fine likely over $10k for each location hit, at a minimum…
In todays climate ,, it all depends on the area ,, and the folks involved . The store could be racists ,, selling black guns could be determined to be racists ,, or the perps could be the color of an oppressed peoples . Either way ,,, sorry to hear of you , and your businesses loss . Hopefully they'll catch them and serve them justice .
lets hope they expire before that, less cost to us plus those cars were jacked , they can't figure the alarm system /immobilizer out
Close to 25 years ago, one of our high end gun stores ( Absolute pieces of shit) got broken into using the same tactic of ramming a stolen car into the building! Only problem was, the shop owner had driven steal piles all around the sides of the building and those could stop any car! The crooks learned at the cost of a stolen Chevy Suburban, the next time they tried it with a stolen dump truck loaded with 13 yards of gravel, that did the job and the crooks got off with close to a million in high end rifles and shotguns, as well as the entire case of pistols and nice scopes! They got caught a few days later trying to sell a Merkle Shotgun for WAY under value, each of the 5 crooks got 20 years in club fed, PLUS they had to pay full damages! 4 of the 5 died within a year of release, I guess they learned their lessons and switched up from stealing guns to trying to deal drugs in an area they didn't control! Sorry this happened to you guys! Might wanna look at more secure options, the steal bollards filled with concrete would surely help, but nothing will fully protect those who really want what you got! I hope they catch these scum bags and they get everything thrown at them!
The blog American Thinker had a good article on how crime has been "normalized" and almost accepted as normal by some groups. https://www.americanthinker.com/art...s_unlike_any_ever_experienced_in_america.html Get out the vote in Nov,
Remember the Democrats are trying to cause crime so we can have new wave of 1920s and 1930s infringements.
As @BTPost mentioned. This is a federal crime and they take this shit seriously. When caught (they will spend lots of our tax dollars to catch and prosecute them) they are looking at serious federal charges and they aren't going to win against the feds. Good luck to pleading down. FFL inventory is nothing to mess with .. even if you are a state or county police officer. Ramifications are dire.
As @VisuTrac stated above No State or local LEO Has Jurisdiction over an FFL's Inventory, period.. That is the only reason why I keep my FFL Current.. So that if I get stopped ANYWHERE, in US Territory, They cannot remove from my possession, of my Belgian Browning HiPower, even temporarily... I have been questioned by LEOs in the past, and have them call their Supervisor to confirm, and it usually gets confirmed and then we deal with the Traffic Violation.. Most LEOs have never heard of this, as they do NOT teach this Fact, in Cop School... Never the less, I remind them, if questioned, that I will press for a full Investigation, by the local ATF Folks, and insist on Full Prosecution, by the local US Attorney, if they decide to remove it from my Possession...
You should see the look in their faces when they try to take a gun with a Fed issued carry permit! They usually turn beet red and storm off, even worse when they learn what a "Do Not Detain" order entails! Wish I still had all that, and the law should prevent cops from taking or even asking from any of us with out a legit warrant!
Sorry to hear about the robbery at your store! That's really messed up. I checked out your blog and it looks like you're offering some serious cash for any info that leads to the arrest and conviction of these criminals. Good on you for taking action and not letting them get away with it! It's crazy how these inner-city punks think they can just roll up and use stolen cars as battering rams. What kind of world are we living in? It's time to take some serious measures to put an end to this kind of nonsense. If you're looking for some extra protection for your store, you might want to consider hiring guys from https://ohholding.org/fizicheskaya-okhrаna/telohranitel. Having some trained professionals on site could really help prevent something like this from happening again.
