I was out looking around a local sporting good store and found this. Matched machined AR10 upper and lower. The fit was so tight it was a bit difficult to separate the upper from the lower. At about $700 dollars they are a bit spendy, even for these inflationary times. Still, I am considering getting one.

I do not foresee these items becoming less expensive, but I do admit I have been wrong in the past.

That would make for a BEAUTIFUL build. I'm really liking the look of those.

I am telling you, the fit of the upper to the lower was almost a press fit. This could have a potential for driving tacks.

Anyone have some suggestion for trigger, Barrel for 308 or 6.5 or any other suggestions?

A .308 is never a bad choice, and future need may trump having the flavor of the month chambering. That said, if your contemplating a AR-10 type build, now might be the last time you will be able to score the parts needed, I foresee things going one of two ways, both will see availability dry up for a LONG time!
Besides, that's a really good looking setup, and with a nice finish ad the correct furniture, would be something to be proud of!

Barrel and trigger depend on intended usage. Self defense? Hunting? Long range? CQB? Don't forget the bolt as the bolt and barrel are the heart of the rifle.

Personally, I'm a huge fan of Columbia River Arms for barrels. They are stainless, but use polygonal rifling for longer service and are well regarded for match accuracy. They are the OEM for several brands such as Rainier Arms and I believe Noveske. They will make any length as well as several profiles to suit your needs. You can also get fluting, custom finishes, etc.. What length and what profile depends on usage.

For triggers I'm a huge fan of Gieselle. What model depends, again, on usage. Not inexpensive, but you will be happy with the results.

We need to know what you want the weapon's main role to be.
Personally I think of the AR-10 as the USA's version of the FN-FAL. With the proper gas block you can adjust the rifle to your load like the FAL. You can make a carbine, "Paratrooper" or full size version. So a lot depends on what the end user wants as well as how much they want to invest. Krieger, Bartlein, Douglass, Shillen, are all match grade with sub MOA offerings, but you will have to come up off the wallet. I have not used any Columbia River Arms products but they have a very good rep. For good quality "issue grade" types I would look at Green Mountain,Ballistic Advantage,Faxon Firearms or KAK Industry. All of those make good quality barrels but are a bit cheaper than the 1st group. Triggers are the same-you can spend as much as you want, but there are good options at reasonable prices.

I will build whatever a customer wants. My choices differ from many on battle/AR/AK type rifles. As far as triggers go I prefer stock parts that I rework and maybe install a set of lighter springs. I know most will disagree and that's fine, as I said, this is what I prefer. I stock spare parts for all of my rifles with the thought that any or all of them could be called upon in a SHTF situation. I want them to use OEM type parts and I want to be used to that feel, but that's me. I may and do tune them but I prefer stock type parts.
